So I find garou to be an extremely interesting character. However I am dumb so I don't think i fully understand him.

So as a kid he found it unfair that the monsters always got beat up and that all heroes no matter how useless were praised. so he wanted Monsters to win. eventually he decided to become a strong monster to help them to win. Upon meeting other monsters he realized they were not worth saving and decided to become a "monster" that would force good out of people through fear. Is that it? or am I missing something?
>>
>>120573991
No that's pretty much it
>>
>>120574122
Great! I must say I'm glad I left the murata version behind to catch up on this arc. It is was truly fantastic. Where were Blast and Metal Bat was this not good enough for those dillweeds or has ONE not revealed that in an interview yet?
>>
>>120574290
ONE pretty much said if metal bat were there they would have won easier
>>
>>120574290
Metal Bat was too strong for the Monsters Association; he is in fact strong enough to solo Dragon-level threats, I think that is from the ONE interview.

Blast is an enigma and is supposedly very unpredictable in regards to his hero activities.
>>
>>120573991
>or am I missing something?

He always wanted to be the hero, as revealed in OPM's final conversation with him.

However he buckled, he gave up, and picked the easy path in life. He thought being a monster would be a lot easier than being a hero, so he compromised.

That's why he lost(not really)
>>
>>120574290
metal bat is 2strong, he's probably only ranked low because he almost never does what he's told.
He mentioned his little sisters recital, or he's probably busy being the perfect onii-chan

As Saitama said he wanted to be a hero but since he couldn't become one he took a shortcut.

Yeah, garou was forced to be a monster as a kid even though he wanted to be a hero, and well you see how that turns out

He wanted a hero that would save even the monsters.

He wanted to be that hero, but he couldn't. So he decided to be a monster that would bring about that kind of hero instead.
>>
>>120574906
What I liked about Saitama is that he's not just a complete moralfag or completely apathetic. He can be mean when he needs to be, but he's just as understanding too.

Like in the image you posted, or when he told Fubuki that someday a monster stronger than her would be too much, and none of her subordinates would be able to help.

For a series with a gimmicky premise, Saitama is surprisingly tridimensional.

I see. A hero who wouldn't condemn a monster simply for being a monster. poor kid. I loved when saitama pointed out that the kid was in the opposite direction of where he was walking.
>>
>>120573991
Almost. Like caped baldy said, he actually wanted to be hero too. I think he even wanted to be one when he was child but since nobody ever let him he thought he was meant to be a "villain". Yet he still continued to keep doing good work, yet hating "heroes" because of his childhood traumas.
>>
>>120573991

Why is Garou such a rip off of that villain guy from Samurai Flamenco?

also how after finding out about the secret to the King Engine he is suddenly hanging around the guy who attracts ridiculously strong monsters all the time. Saitama really is the Coolest guy

Love that mother fucker. Him slapping everyone's shit was the best thing ever.
>>
>>120575138
He just had a lot of broken logic, thought this was a different sort of shounen story, and oddly enough the only one in the story who's logic isn't broken is Saitama himself.

Guy just knows who he is entirely.

Usually the villain would be forced to realize that he was mistaken all along in a different way, but Saitama just sped up the entire process in an absurd way. Garou had a dream but quit on it because he kept getting typecast in life, tried to go the other way because that's what he's already been cast as so he was like "Fine", didn't care for that either when it got down to it because he wasn't fully evil, and now he's less sure than ever what he wants.

Very true Anon.
The series has good depth despite being a gag manga.

Like in the sea king arc after defeating him, he gives the credit to other heroes, so people don't lose faith in them
>>
>>120575476
I didn't really get this. Anyone who isn't a complete idiot could see that
1. the neet was being a total jack ass
2. saitama clearly did all the work and has a ridiculous amount of strength, the shockwaves alone should atest to that.
>>
got a few questions.

1) what is one punch man one? is it a webcomic of sorts and when does this one update

2) is there ANYWHERE where you can download chapter 35+ without a retarded naming scheme i mean seriously, chapter 40.1 40.2 40.3 as an example is fucking stupid... i also cant find a download for it at all and had to rely on online readers for a bit...
>>
>>120575596
Read the page again. Some people don't buy Saitama's "excuse", but they go with it nonetheless.
>>
>>120575596
It's not hard to start a chain of negativity in people, a wave of doubt.

Even if they saw the facts with their own eyes, someone can spin it the other way easily if they get in on the ground floor while people are still confused.

Suddenly their rewrite what they saw into something else.

That's how Saitama lost credit for all of his wins so far; because people keep starting the doubt chain, because "Pfft, just a lousy C rank".
>>
>>120575622
It was a webcomic, but a professional artist approached the creator wanting to do a remake. The webcomic still updates, but it's sporadic at best.
>>
>>120574493
Only against the monster association. Against Garou it would be the same.
>>
>>120573991
Garou always wanted to help the weak that were being overpowered by the strong. He always saw monsters losing so part of him felt like he needed to help the monsters because they needed it. It's obvious that someone that aims to help the weak is a hero but Garou associates heroes with those that crush those weaker than themselves and call it justice aka Sweet Mask. Sweet Mask is the kind of hero that Garou hates, the public loves him even if he kills unarmed prisoners then calls it justice.

I really like how this current arc is coming about because Saitama is becoming the ideal hero that Garou wishes he was, especially now that he's protecting monsters. Definitely feels like Saitama is going to be involved with a new Monster's Association with himself at the helm, unwillingly.
>>
>>120575622
Webcomic, art sucks but the story is solid, professional friend of his decided to make the art not suck, and now everyone loves it and it's caught on.

Web-comic art just has no effort put into it, but the concept is just entirely there. It's not hard to make something out of it.
>>
>>120575476
Yeah, it was a bit weird but you can consider the people to be gullible but Saitama's intentions were good.

>>120575622
The One's version is a webcomic, Murata redraws it with his glorious art.

Nope,
Go to Nerieru Scans website and download it from there.
>>
So what was up with garou at the end? I know Caped Baldy was the only one to track his movements but was he just jumping away?
>>
>>120575752
i still think the best thing coming out of this arc is he is gonna beat the unholy hell out of tatsumaki for being an irritating little shit.
>>
>>120575898
Garou realized he ultimately screwed up and broke down, but that little kid got him going again.
so he ran like the wind.

We saw half of the next chapter, still waiting for the rest of it.

I'm guessing it'll come out some time early march.

I think the comic looks pretty good. I mean, it's non-standard for sure, but it isn't bad. I would say it's much better than THAT generic manga style.
>>
>>120576359
>pretty good
Let me put it this way for you, I've been studying art for 3 weeks now and I can do better drawings than that.

Either way, I want to see her finally taken down a peg by Saitama. Whether it be by punch or by him delivering the verbal smack down.

Also the Murata version of this scene will take forever to get to.

>Web-comic art just has no effort put into it

There's definately some effort put into it and it's far from the work of an amatuer. The Murata redraws keep the framing, proportions, angles, etc because ONE did it all perfectly.

ONE's drawings are rough but for the purpose of sequential art they're perfect for getting his point across. I'll take ONE's turbo rough drawings over super static, hyper detailed paintings with text on them any day

It means it lacks any actual skill, meaning a 2nd grader could do it. Its good because the story not the art work, anyone who says differently is a complete dumbass.
