Oregaiu S2 PV.
8man looks baller
What? It's been a while since I read volume 9 so maybe I'm forgetting things but I don't remember the trap getting any character development whatsoever, assuming he has any character to begin with.
The new designs are a bit unsettling, but Yukinon is so gorgeous there that it doesn't matter.
It was more of a reciprocal thing, where totsuka knew that 8man saw him in a certain way and recognized when 8man came to a better understanding of him (which of course made him happy traps these days right?).
The characters look more like the LN designs, so in my opinion it's better. All I'm asking for is ramen date with sensei and rollercoaster scene, Because I know we won't be getting full dere yukinoshita (last volume)
Yukinoshita is as perfect as always, good to know. Even though yukinoshita is my waifu, I've got to admit iroha is too godamn cute. Yui a shit though.
The arcs skipped are mostly inconsequential stuff though, like fanservice chapters with Saika, Sensei, Saki, and Szaimokuza. Obviously it sucks if you're a fan of their characters, but ultimately they're side characters and not what the 'main plot' is going to be about.
Even Watari is doing something similar in his later volumes, as they focus mainly on the main characters and their developments. He puts the lighter, more fanservicey stories in the side volumes (hence 7.5 etc).
So yeah, keeping it to the bare bones works as most of the meat taken out is just fat, and this is really the best extremely compressed anime LN adaptation I've ever seen (save for probably Baccano, but I haven't read the LN so I can't compare).
Although, they did commit a blunder of the century by cutting the part where Hayato says he likes a girl with an initial Y while in the camp. It's already a major part of the latest volume, and I'm pretty sure it'll be important in the future as well.
Nvm, it's in my folder all along.
I liked it better when 8man hikigay-kun looked dead and had those fish eyes.
Nope. Frog-kun will be working on it after he finishes volume 4, though.
Have yet to receive my copy to read it myself. so I don't know how good it is.
