Can someone explain me this miracle of the universe?
You spelled Eriri wrong.
It depends on how you define bitch, but she did walked out of MC's life without a noticed and she hurt him badly by actively avoiding him. MC was about to lose all hope of being her friend again if he didn't desperately keep trying to keep her in his life.
I can't really blame her. I was genuinely surprised she actually continued to hang out with the MC after that restaurant scene. Their entire relationship is just him being an autist, pushing his hobbies on her and shitting on her for not being a ridiculous caricature like him or his harem.
The point of her character is to make a plain, boring girl overshadow and stand out above colorful and archetypal girls, and the series succeeds at that.
You have to give the author some credit for it.
Because the character's silent deadpan presence is like a tsukkomi without actually having to say anything or participate in the joke. She makes everything seem absurd just by being there and quietly distancing herself from it. Her witty and irreverent dialogue is really charming because it's a very subtle and passive-aggressive way of poking fun at the show itself. We relate to her because she's basically a self-insert for a 3rd party audience, silently watching, judging and amusing themselves at the antics of the 3 main characters without being overtly judgmental.
It's a waifuwars harem show with an unlikable MC and constant open conflict between the heroines with polar opposite personalities and appeal.
Polarizing is the only thing it has going for it.
Yeah, it's hard, but it was love at first sight, I just want her to be happy, and I want to be happy too. I can't lie to her anymore, maybe another anon can make her happy.
It's my first time falling for a seasonal girl
Can't wait till Megumi wins. She totally deserves it.
Not true. MC was casual with Megumi a week or so before Eriri collapsed. Tomoya did had his reasons for not involving the other members in helping Eriri's collapse/problems as an artist, such as Utaha and Eriri's mutual dislike of each other, Eriri doesn't get along with Michiru, and Tomoya doesn't want to drag Megumi around more than he already does.
Aside from that, he stalled the project on his end to look after Eriri. He made the decisions and so did Eriri who got caught up in her pride over creating the best quality she could. In the end, they were able to complete the game, but as a result of their decision, they ended up unable to produce the numbers of copies they had wanted to make so their decision was not with consequences. Tomoya and Eriri both apologized to everyone, and the other members all didn't mind or accepted it as no big deal. What Megumi was tripping over is simply because he didn't inform her about his decisions even though they can be seen as considerate and virtuous on his end, though not with faults. Basically, Megumi's reason to be upset is quite trivial and just melodrama material.
Fuck boring when Heaven and Hell are superior.
These three are better.
Ironic joke post? She's boring and unremarkable and doesn't stand out. She's supposed to be a take on making a generic background character into a main heroine by having her stay the way she is.
Not seeing anything about her being "best" due to popularity in either post. You strawmanned the fact that she is the most popular because she leaves the most impression in the readers/viewers, hence she overshadows the other girls, to talking about quality and whatnot.
Again, I hope you're just trolling because you are illiterate and an idiot if you aren't.
I'm a Megumifag, a Chitogefag, a Yozorafag and a Minefag.
Because that's me, genius. And yes, you strawmanned me with quality talk when that wasn't the point of the post. In case you still don't get it, it's about how the writer excels at making a "normal" and "plain" heroine with no apparent remarkeable features the most memorable and beloved girl, overshadowing the other more colorful and noticeable girls. Nothing about her being "best" due to popularity here.
>most memorable and beloved girl, overshadowing the other more colorful and noticeable girls
No, this is just your opinion and it was until you retort back with your most liked comment that tries to support it by saying popularity is proving your statement right. You went full retard. Get over it.
I'm not of that "I must like X archetype the most in each show" mindset. I just like the most interesting/entertaining girls, simple as that. This show proves that even the most boring and normal girl can be the most entertaining at the same time. It's all up to the execution.
You went full retard yourself by implying things to suit your argument. Remember that you challenged me without supporting yourself either. The way popularity supports my statement is that she's precisely popular because she leaves the biggest impression on the readers. The writer has one of his goals realized here. This obviously wouldn't be possible if she didn't stand out above the rest in some way and wasn't a highlight of the series. Whether she is the best or not due to this is completely unrelated and a strawman made by you.
Mine is very honest with her feelings and usually pretty badass, while Eriri seem more of a dependent and shy character.
The similarities are just that both are twintailed tsundere, but the archetype alone doesn't define the entire character.
No, I disagreed. You brought this upon yourself the instant you went for the popular card.
Says you. People can like for all kinds of reason, it doesn't have to be because she overshadows or anything such. You are still trying to rationalize your argument. It's like you're trying to tell yourself that so you will believe it instead of me.
Megumi's moeness is too bad for my health.
I wouldn't have cared about your litte reply if it wasn't for the fact that you strawmanned your way hard to imply things I never said. And no, I'm not trying to convince you or anything, I'm just explaining how my argument doesn't have anything to do with the popularity = best bullshit you tried to pull.
>Nobody is getting along
Why can't this fanbase be the all girls are best and the one you like most happens to be your favorite fanbase?
Megumi a cute.
I'm totally enticed by her. I don't know why, but she's perfect.
>all girls are best and the one you like most happens to be your favorite
That's for comfy comedies or SoL's. Harems will always get the waifu wars treatment. It's like clockwork.
Except she's not. If she was indifferent, she wouldn't accept the invitation out on what was ostensibly a date. If she was indifferent, she wouldn't come over to his house when invited, and spend the night there playing a galge with him.
It's obvious she's loving the attention and the bit of excitement she's getting from having a 'school celebrity' dote on her, and is just acting aloof because its her comfort zone.
It's like you never meet this kind of people. They just tag along as long as it doesn't bother them. Volume 7 made it clear that Megumi avoided the group when something is bothering her.
As for being indifferent, she is as indifferent as you can get. She hardly gives a shit about her surroundings, episode 00 is a prove of this.
I wonder what her drool taste like.
Am I the only one who watches harems and picks his favourite girl and the girl he wants to win separately?
Like, Utaha hits all of my kinks but I really like the way Megumi interacts with the protagonist right now, they've got a nice chemistry.
I thought that was a given? It mostly comes from who is best girl(most entertaining, visually pleasing) and deserving the MC bowl(being the most supporting, best Chemistry, etc), though they do usually overlap.
You're quiet interesting, aren't you?
>best girl is the main girl
What's going on, /a/?
I'm not seeing it. She's just a boring and bland girl who wouldn't even be on my radar if she wasn't the main girl as noted in the title. The other three girls from previous episodes are much better.
Last time they told me I was getting deconstructed I ended up traumatized and in despair.
Wait, that's Michiru? It's so much butchered from the LN, the fuck?
I'm kind of scared. This is the exact type of show I like, but it's because of that. I like all the characters. Eri is my favorite, but I think the obvious main heroine is Kato.
This is the type of anime that makes me scared to finish because I don't know if I can really handle one girl winning, and it's gonna be frustrating along the way if/when the girls refuse to "Realize their feelings" or whatever.
Can anyone who read the LN let me know how the romance has developed in the first 7 volumes?
It's already obvious enough why he's unlikeable He's a loud obnoxious delusional faggot, the type of people who would post their shitty fanfics on MAL and attacks anyone who dislikes it.
The reason she stands out is because she doesn't behave like generic anime archetype. It's like when we enjoy the MCs who aren't freaking out seeing naked girl and doing other stupid tropes i.e. acts like average human being
iktf, at least Utaha is my favorite
Eriri's proportions are a miracle of the universe.
It's just her position and the way her uniform is being held out of place by it that make it look like so. It's actually an unusually good depiction of how clothes actually behave for anime.
He's pretty selfish and while he's the type that will get things done, he tends to cause other people trouble and worry along the way. It's pretty amusing because him being in charge of the circle is actually the biggest problem they have. If Megumi weren't around to defuse various situations, they'd be finished a long time ago.
No fuck thanks, Earth is better.
You know what makes her hot? That she's tagging along with you, even though you're boring.
Pathetic moeshit eaters.
Why is she so perfect?
>Can anyone who read the LN let me know how the romance has developed in the first 7 volumes?
Utaha and Eriri are already aware of their feelings towards MC even before the anime starts, it was explained in the spin-off mangas.
In volume 7 Utaha graduated from the highschool. She later reveals to the MC that she's leaving his circle with Eriri into the rival circle to work on a new galge project.
Eriri will get some heart-warming moments with the MC, especially during the comiket where after that her bitter past with MC is revealed, and there's also that one time where they're bonding with each other by playing their nostalgic galge together for a whole day while she's sick. After Utaha's graduation, MC is put into the same class with Eriri while Megumi right now is in a different class than him.
Pseudo imouto is quite irrelevant, but she'll probably join MC's circle and replace Eriri as the illustrator.
Megumi is by far is unclear to me if she has a romantic feelings towards him, so far the MC only looks her as the heroine model for his game and as a friend. There's a lot of things happening between them through from vol 1-5, in vol.6 after completing the game and achieved quite a success with it in the winter comiket, she left the circle. Later after Utaha and Eriri left MC, she came back again to help him with his new project. This time MC asked her to be the vice president for their circle. She agreed (and later she burst out of her character and scolded MC for how badly has he treated all his circle members while the game is in the process of making). The next month she cuts her hair back to exactly looks like her first encounter with the MC on that hill.
For now in terms of relationship i'd say that Eriri is on the lead so far. Utaha is unlikely to be relevant in the next few chapters or even until the next volume.
Personal best girl is obviously Katou.
These are some interesting developments that don't really make sense.
So Eri and Utaha are kind of "Betraying" the MC? Are they gonna become less relevant as heroines/love interests because of them leaving? I assume so, right?
Thanks for this though.
Wait, does this mean that there's spin-offs depicting the MC and each girl getting into a relationship or them being the main heroine or something of the sort? Because that sounds amazing.
Hm, there are on there. Just looked over the Eri one, looks satisfying enough. But the ending is kind of a bit empty though. You'd think when they have their own spin-off the MC would at least have confirmed feelings for her. I didn't read the whole thing so I might have missed something, but looks like it ends with them not really being in a relationship or completely aware of each other's feelings or anything. Although the MC might know of Eri's love, and Eri thinks he's in love with her.
Guess it's the best that can be hoped for.
It depends from which standpoint are you seeing this from.
As a friend? Yes it is, but MC later accept their reasoning and justified their action.
As a content creator? No, it's normal for people to try to put themselves in a new environment in order to push their ability more and explore new things.
What's funny is that they could just go join that circle without ever leaving their current one. Doujinshi circles aren't meant to be like your typical lunatic japanese corporations.
I know a lot of anons really hate this twist, but for me it's not that 100% bad, the delivery is a bit irrational but the outcome is that we're going to see the competition between the two circles in the future which i hope would be entertaining, especially seeing Eriri's side bites the dust. Pseudo-imoutou and her brother will also become more relevant and there'll be more room for MC and Katou.
Eriri's route spin-off is already complete and
they don't even go out in the end. exactly >>120412925
I think it's quite a decent harem. The problem might lies on how i badly summarized that spoiler. If you're interested to spare some of your time to read the original blogpost which is fuckton longer than what i wrote, then just try to look for the link in the previous threads in the archive.
She is best. The other girls are pretty boring and generic archtypes, and ironically are more boring than the "boring" girl who is a breath of fresh air.
If MC wasn't an otakufag, he'd already take advantage of how easygoing she is and fucked her that night. She seems like she'd be pretty easy.
I don't think I can overstate how disappointing this is though. How do you get your own spin-off, and the best you get is something being misconstrued into a confession, the heroine alluding to her feelings, and a promise to stay together forever as "otaku friends"
Eri deserved better.
Have you ever had a girl sleep over at your place?
i think the main attractive point for her is that she is easy going and doesnt really mind little shit
the fact that she goes to MC house knowing how hardcore otaku he is kinda shows
unlike normal girls who will be grossed out and just avoid him
Playing a dating sim with someone else must be a horrible experience.
>Haven't you finished reading yet?
>Why did you skip that?
>You picked the wrong one, now you'll get a bad end
