I actually like the show but for it to work it needs very flawed, irrational characters. Its fun, but sort of dumb, like an Urobuchi show, or a soap opera. Likewise, the resulting Death Parade discussions amount to what I'd expect of people who watch soap operas: project their values onto these intentionally flawed characters and say what /they/ would do instead.

That isn't necessarily bad.
