What has changed in anime from the last decade to this decade?
>>119982097
Literally nothing.
Nineties ugly design was thankfully removed. Also, filters. Loads and loads of filters.
>>119982345
did someone say filters?
DtB contractor face.
00s was the age of original anime studios (Gainax, Gonzo, Bones, Madhouse, etc).
10s is the age of LN adaptions
>>119982571
>original anime studios
>this is what 00s kiddies actually believe
>>119982097
Quantity and variation is desired more than quantity and longevity.
>>119982571
>original anime studios
Most of them are formed by ex Toei, Nippon Animation or Sunrise employees.
>>119982097
80's>>>00's>60's=70's>shit>>>>>>Chaos;Head anime>90's.
>>119982571
Ok, you don't what the fuck you are talking about.
>>119982688
original in that they are not adaptions
Old anime is simply better than new anime.
Why does Slayers and Saber Marionette represent the entire 90s? 90s gave us the best 2d girl ever made (Rei).
>>119983091
Except most of the work in the 00s are manga, video game, VN, or LN adaptations, how high are you?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:2000s_anime_television_series
Anime/manga really did peak in the 1980s in terms of art style, didn't it?
Look at this manly motherfucker.
I'm currently watching Ranma and the 80s art style is pretty nice though it seems there is often a lack of fine detail as well as "weird" frames.I'm also unsure how to feel about my boners.
>>119983508
his chin gets increasingly square as the time passes
>>119983311
I was talking of it in relations to the other decades
all decades are mostly adaption, but unless you are counting OVAs, 00s had the most original series of the decades
>>119983706
>I was talking of it in relations to the other decades
2000s has a high adaptation ratio. 1980s actually has a higher original adaptation ratio than 2000s because the 80s mostly relied on making cartoons for toys, a la Gundam and the Super Dimension Series.
How old are you?
>>119983665
So it's like Berserk's art-style?
>>119982571
>Madhouse
>Bones
>original studio
>endless westaboo Marvel series
>>119983782
actually if you look at the 80s charts there's barely any tv series
it was mostly OVAs and long-runners
>>119982571
>Gainax
>00s
Most of their original work was from the Eighties and Nineties, newfriend.
>>119983904
Dat shading tho
>>119982535
You can tell how much they care about a character by how long it takes from the beginning of the show until the first panty shot.
>>119983865
So you were born in the Nineties, huh?

Spot the newfag!
There he is!
Also...
>2000s Gainax
>mattering at all compared to 80s and 90s Gainax
It's no coincidence that Gainax died in the 2000s. The 2000s killed Gainax.
>>119983865
>implying OVAs and long-runenrs aren't original
You've moved the goal post. Earlier, you claimed that 00s was the most original in terms of adaptations. Now that you've been proven wrong in that regard, you've shifted to claiming that 80s isn't full of original content because their original content is contained in long-runners and OVAs? That doesn't make much sense.
>>119984131
>>119984250
>says barely any tv anime
>shows charts with barely any tv anime
nuff said
though I guess I should've counted Gainax my bad
>>119982097
>>119982345
>that retarded as fuck example for the 90's
>>119984349
80s is the era of OVAs, so it's kinda unfair counting them.
excuse I know but still
>>119984391
>shows charts with barely any tv anime
Did you see the Nico video showcasing the tons of original content from the 80s? Of course, you didn't. Because you shifted goal posts from showcasing original anime to the amount of anime being produced.
>>119984455
>claims 00s is era of most original content
>gets BTFO in regards to that by showing how many adaptations were made back then
>he moves the goal post by saying OVAs don't count and ignores the sheer amount of original TV animation combined in the decade shown in http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm11901709.
You best be trolling, kid. Again, you're not answering my question. How old are you?
>>119982571
>Gainax
>Gonzo
>Bones
>Madhouse
My fucking sides
All the new kids on the block like Kyoani, PA Works, Gokumi, Dogakobo, 8bit, Wit, Shaft and etc are showing these dinosaurs studio how it is done instead of crying.
>>119984475
My argument was primarily about the amount of anime produced
>actually if you look at the 80s charts there's barely any tv series
>>119984566
>LN adaptations
>showing how to be creatively bereft
They sure showed them.
>>119984566
>Gokumi, Dogakobo
>relevant
ay
>>119984597
>My argument was primarily about the amount of anime produced
see >>119982571
>00s was the age of original anime studios
>>119984475
>memecenter
>>119984597
Only because anime ran longer back then. Also, going by amounts, 00s is creatively bereft because most of the anime they produced were adaptations, so either argument, you fail.
>>119984706
>Haruhi
>LN adaptation during the 00s
>claims 10s is the LN adaptation era
You're just proving the other guy right.
>>119984646
That argument was about studios
neither of us were talking about it (you were talking about the anime itself not the studios). I guess it was my fault. Let's go back on topic, 00s had more studios that stood out and tried to produce original anime.
>>119984853
Sunrise and Toei made tons more original content than any of the studios you've cited, which especially in the 00s was adaptation-heavy.
Try again. Also, you haven't answered my question: How old are you?
>>119984821
What are you even going on about? I'm just saying your pics are cancer.
>>119985017
I'm debating in topic while you shifted your attention elsewhere because you're not winning the debate.
That's what's happening here.
>>119984951
again all eras are adaption heavy (it's anime for god-sakes).
it's just 00s broke out a whole messload of studios that wanted to get identities for themselves and their own style.
Granted it was because of Gainax after Eva (aka Gainax in the 90s) but it's still the case.
most of which studios either died or became creatively-bankrupt by the time 10s came around
>>119985140
That was my very first post in the thread, though. You're an obvious as fuck crossboarder, go lurk some more.
>>119985142
>again all eras are adaption heavy (it's anime for god-sakes)
00s has one of the highest adaptation ratios, so it's strange to claim that it's the age of original anime studios when more studios in the 80s and even 90s were making more original shit. I'd also like to take note that many of those charts are incomplete, go to a Japanese site to see complete listings of what was released back then. Or the amount of studios back then, at that.
>>119985246
Yes, and...? Did I pretend to be someone else?
>>119985295
You're posting out of topic, though.
Toonami died so /v/types declared anime dead.
>>119982097
70's >> 00's > 80's > 60's >>> 90's
>>119982097
>60s Keion
Would watch
>>119984560
Was KareKano any good? It was always THAT Gainax show I never bothered to pick up from my backlog, but I wouldn't mind watching a romantic comedy free of the tropes and archetypes of contemporary anime right now.
>>119985680
it does have a lot of the usual tropes of shoujo manga if you are into that.
>>119985371
And you're shitposting.
>>119985680
it was touched by Hideaki fucking Anno, i think that should've answered your question.
