Who's the best character that started out evil but turned good?
So, it's yet again another best tsundere thread, isn't it?
Ok he wasn't completely evil but he was an antagonist.
>gets beaten by Gohan
>gets rezzed on accident during the Buu saga and defends the same town he absorbed back in his saga from being turned into cookies by Buu
>this is literally broadcast across the Earthsphere and everyone sees Cell, the man who once threatened their very destruction, fighting to save them
>gets to live at Kame house and wears aloha shirts, becoming an excellent cook
>literally puts the moon back together by flying around space and pushing its pieces back into place before blasting the cracks with energy blasts
>draws a picture of himself smiling on the lunar surface for all of Earth to see
>Only wants to fall in love and have a family
This guy here.
What makes it awesome is that he was such a detestable and hideous character that you'd never thought he could turn good.
>You fight with the resolve to lose? I do not understand. You fight for the human race? If so, then know that my actions are, in fact, for their benefit. For example, in human society, lands are divided by national borders, much like territorial marking. On the right side of the border, children may starve to death. While on the left, scum who do nothing have everything they need. Absolute madness. I shall crush that madness.. And create a world so fair, the very concept of inequality will be forgotten!
Not the best but...
please don't hate me.
She don't really turn good, and she's not really evil to begin with but she deserve her place here.
Right in the fucking heart.
Also, I'm just going to mention Envy. He never really turned good, but his death was the most heartbreaking shit ever.
Say what you want, but he's hiring people (hitmen they may be, but that's besides the point) and contributing to the economy. What the fuck has Yugi ever done?
Well Yugi kinda stimulates the Card-Game Market because he's famous and gets people into playing the games I guess?
Also threadly reminder that the first 5 Yu-Gi-Oh Mangas are fucking Hardcore
Not quite. What he actually says is this.
>I concede that I will initially use power and terror to accomplish my objective. But I will only do so to the extent necessary to maintain order. I have learned what power is meant to be used for. To protect the weak, who deserve to live. Power is not meant to be used to torment the defeated!
Amazing reading comprehension guys, out-fucking-standing. It's nice to know that Hunter x Hunter's dialog is so complex that retards can barely even comprehend it.
>Even I can have a sweet dream
His death is still one of the best
Holy fuck anon. Holy fuck I completely forgot about this.
Jesus christ, when he has a break down after killing Leomon, I actually cried watching it. And his redemption in the end, good god.
goku wasnt even fucking phased when his son died. sure the dragonballs and all that, but at the time he thought piccolo was dead too. He would have been more upset about skipping a meal
"Evil"'s probably too strong a term, but he made the transition from an antagonist to frenemy to bro pretty well.
And how is that bad? It's certainly a lot better than just leaving things as they were.
Maybe not evil, but she has one of my favorite weapons of all time.
went from the top ranked enemy warlord, to be fucking jesus
and then had to FIGHT his replacement, and sacrifice himself, so that she could be free and take her true destiny.
He literally gave up everything he had to be the most good person in the entire series
>Why the hell did Vegeta go to HELL but not Piccolo?
Because Vegeta was an insufferable piece of shit all the way until the last saga, whereas Piccolo put his own bullshit aside when the first threat came to Earth that was bigger than both he and Goku.
Considering Vegeta had no qualms with not only letting Dr. Gero use his mate and newborn kid as a distraction to escape he willfully allowed Cell to become perfect after all the bullshit and literal tears he shed on Namek over being used like a garbage, by Freeza, then discarded; Vag's' faggot ass jumped to the top of King Yenma's shitlist.
When you consider Vegeta was originally spared on Earth, despite being defeated, had his people aveneged on Namek and STILL was gifted a means to achieve Super Saiyan and continue his practically extinct race, the fucker comes off ungrateful as fuck--compared to, oh, say someone like Tenshinhan who, despite training his ass off to the point of abusing his body, didn't have the bullshit Saiyan genes to fall back on, much less guys like Kuririn and Yamcha, that, despite always being the first to help, even when they get shitted on as far as power goes, rarely ever get thrown a bone.
>Because Vegeta was an insufferable piece of shit all the way until the last saga
Nigga, please. He easily had the most growth as a character. How you could not enjoy how conflicted he was between being the best/a proper saiyan and setting his differences aside is beyond me.
Jesus christ, I forgot Funi did that....
Dang, that is so ridiculously stupid and cheesy.
I can only imagine the meeting where they discussed possible acronym options since they couldn't use HELL
>goes from jerk to semi-nice guy back to jerk
>the whole semi-nice guy mentor thing was purely an act on his part because he was trying to run away from who he was
Char never went good.
It's funny because in the new movie Vegeta gets a huge rage boost when Bills slaps Bulma. I cannot see Goku reacting the same way if he did that to ChiChi.
Vegeta the better family man confirmed.
>I cannot see Goku reacting the same way if he did that to ChiChi.
How can you seriously post this while forgetting that Goku got a fucking power up in the same film, towards the end, while thinking of his family and friends?
Even though it turns out she was actually good, just in a sort of asshole-ish fascist way from the start, I'm pretty sure she counts. Plus, her crucifying Ragyou was one of the best heel turns in the last few years of anime
I loved his death T.T
This was nice transformation, I mean how he leaned about everything
>How you could not enjoy how conflicted he was between being the best/a proper saiyan and setting his differences aside is beyond me.
Because I was fortunate not to be from an ass-backwards country that showed DBZ before Dragon Ball, thus I already saw better characters like Tenshinhan, Kuririn and Yamcha grow from enemies, to rivals to friends of Goku, instead of the stilled scenes of Vegeta not being a complete waste of fucking space, that Vegetafags seriously overrate, which is laughable comparatively, to how Goku, Gohan and Piccolo grow as characters.
The saddest part is that with the manga's new ending, Vegeta's character regresses back to the same insufferable faggot from the beginning of the series.
Bon Kurei...though he never was a bad guy.
Because Piccolo (Jr, not Piccolo Daimou) did a bunch of foul deeds, but nothing much worse than anything Tien or Krillin might have done in their previous lives.
Remember, Piccolo was spat up by Piccolo Daimou. At the start of Dragonball, Piccolo is only 8 years old and Gohan is 4.
Vegeta, admittedly has went around the universe killing entire planets full of people so he could help his employer/owner sell the planet later on. Despite what Vegeta says about being owned by Freeza, he still enjoyed what he was doing.
