Do we ever find out what this was about?
from the look of it. Mamare is busy busting his ass off to develop materials for what might be season 3. From the look of the sales and how the story is far from concluded we might have book 9 and 10 or more.
Just a theory though since i assume season 2 will probably ended with scrubs journey and Isuzu new hidden-skill(volume 8).
I want a doujin of nureha she is sex, btu It felt like her scene at the end of S1 was like araragi rejecting neko girl jsut because she was unstable and I agree, don't put your dick in crazy.
>Looks like the anime is almost caught up with the books?
In terms of fan-translated books at baka-tsuki. Of course, the fan-translator has dropped LH when it was picked up by Yen Press for official release this spring.
>Has the author indicated how many books will be in the series?
The author answered that on 4chan when he visited several times. The LH light novel was originally planned for 15 volumes.
the author visited 4chan? how the fuck did I miss this, I have so much to ask him
>The author answered that on 4chan when he visited several times
>an author visiting /a/
that's actually pretty cool, what was he here for? or did he/she get lost looking for /jp/ or /c/ or something?
kinda wish we could get more authors to do that be legit.
You are a special kind of stupid, aren't you?
>inb4 pretending to be retarded
Ok , lets say I am stupid, still doesn't make my point invalid
and he acted smug about it, too
these moments are just perfect
I love you, /a/
>tits visually smaller than LN
thanks man, I appreciate it
le cut inside man doesn't need to take orders from you, peasant
>In German you can, man english is such a shitty language.
I see what you did there.
This would be the type of sentence that would cause confusion when separating with a comma. 'Man' should technically have a comma to separate itself from the sentence that it is a part of, but that creates ambiguity as to which sentence it belongs.
>how about a lewd doujin here and there?
>you mean those things boys of age are interested in?
> I close one eye and overlook it
Ouch, How does that make you feel being called a boy, /a/?
I don't recall 4chan being made in Germany, you dirty axis
This is english board; i type with english font and letters.
In English, you use either:
A semicolon, if the two parts are complete sentences and only thematically related.
A colon, if the two parts are complete sentences, and their relation is direct: one explains the other, expands upon the other, gives reason or justification for the other, etc.
The comma, in English, has only three major uses: joining a dependent clause ("after the party", "without picking up a fish", "having left the auditorium") to a sentence, marking up a list, or as parentheses (parenthetical commas must always appear in pairs).
That's right, all glory to America
so it means when they get liberated and americanized, they invent something for the land of freedom.
>'Man' should technically have a comma to separate itself from the sentence that it is a part of, but that creates ambiguity as to which sentence it belongs.
Commas can't join sentences, ever. A semicolon should have been used instead, thus:
>In German you can; man English is such a shitty language.
Whether or not you use a comma after "man", there's no ambiguity:
>In German you can; man, English is such a shitty language.
You have 10 seconds to name the best girl!
Why is it waifu-lander?
anything for kawaii CutInside-chan
>my sister is not like that
That's what all the incest brother always say.
That was the point I was making. I was pointing out a reason that commas shouldn't be used to separate sentences.
Also, commas can technically 'join' sentences, if you are listing sentences that do not themselves contain commas.
I wasn't dissing him, I was just saying there are some things about my hobby I just don't do, it feels like they way Americans don't have anything else in their lives so they glorify celebrities. nothing wrong with it if you want to do it but not me.
That was not me, anon-kun. It was someone else, believe Ashe-chan.
Just look at how many seasons Phi-Brain got which aired a half hour before Log Horizon. Now realize that unlike Phi-Brain, Log Horizon sells a decent number of BDs and a shit ton of LN volumes.
it was good until season 2 and I had reluctantly watch a bit of season 3 before dropping it the puzzle was fun, but he plot just got too boring or stupid to keep going.
wow, welp rev up those doujins
and Im kinda confused about this series. Is it like SAO or is the game out in real life? cause they didnt show that they had VR helmets or futuristic things like that in some flashbacks.
It's world magic that connected to real world, there's no VRMMO or some shit. Just magic like hairy potty.
It will be explain on later.
Shiroe once mentioned there was third party that want adventurers to be there in Season2
So that's why they showed those people panicking in season 1 on the first episode, I just assumed they were the kind of "casual" players who never really got into the game and have friends.
So do the voices also determine what their actual gender could be? cause i was scared that the assistant or marie were actually dudes
as Much as i like akatsuki, I just can't see her winning.
There's actually a game anon. It's called " Elder Tales" the most popular MMORPG according to the series.
It's just not VRMMO like SAO. They were pulled by magic into gaming like world but beside that we know nothing.
In early apocalypse, voices are fixed to your real world gender. However, later on your voice will change according to your body in Elder Tales. It will be explained as mana is the spirit and hp as the body of everyone in Elder Tales.
Marrie and Megane are real girls. Tetora is a fag
and you can have sex with npc
It was a normal MMO until an expansion was released, and then suddenly everyone got into the fantasy world of said game.
It`s more like an alternate dimension than being trapped inside a game.
>So do the voices also determine what their actual gender could be?
At the beggining people had their real voices, but as the time progressed, people voices slowly started to change.
>you can have sex with npc
they are not npc anymore ,anon.
But I think once perverted people realize, we could get some dark stuff like slave trade and prostitution. I hope not though.
Could that be a sign that even world class magic might be unable to reverse the effects of everyone being brought into the game, But I mean why would you unless you were super rich in the normal world and now you're a grunt in this world.
BTW I hope nureha or classes girl wins
>slave trade and prostitution
WE SHIELDBRO NOW!!!
> while they slowly turning into their characters a part of it.
i really cant see the bad side of that, like when they lose their memories of the other world, I mean unless you were super rich or had power in the old world and now a grunt in the new one.
I feel like a normalfag is gonna be a villain that bitches about his old life because he had friends.
so basically this game was like soccerbowl big?
Oh, I guess I was too distracted by her character design and voice.
Season 2 is going to cover volumes 6-9. Volume 8 is the most recently released in Japan. Volume 9 is Mamare rewriting the Kanami side story to be a proper novel in the series. He finished doing the online draft of that a week ago, leaving only the final editing and publishing process.
Volume 10's planned title is Homesteading the Noosphere, the same title as the Elder Tales expansion that landed them in the game. But seeing as he hasn't started that yet, by the time that this season finishes, in probably won't be complete, and the anime will have essentially caught up to the novels.
>The end of season 2 won't be this good
;_; Thank you Deen.
Oh, I interpreted your post wrong. I thought you were saying that even world magic wouldn`t stop the players turning into their characters.
As for bad side and good side, I`m pretty sure mamare will end up making so the players can choose staying in the game or going back to the real world, since Shiroe would end up in the question whether or not going back to the real world is a good thing for everyone.
I can only see kyoani doing some animation like that. shaft is too busy with the monogataris series
it would kind of be depressing if shiroe was the only one who decided to stay.
>already on episode 13
MORE TO COME:
- TANK MADE BY LANDER
- BIG BREASTED MONK WITH RETARDED SIDEKICKS
- ROE2 FUCK MINORI AND AKATSUKI
- TOHYA FUCK NUREHA
- ISUZU BEING BEST GIRL AND CLOSING THE SEASON WITH MUSIC(Yun*ichi better goddamn sing this one with new son)
Can't fucking wait.
>it would kind of be depressing if shiroe was the only one who decided to stay.
I really doubt that, if Shiroe decided to stay probably the whole guild would too.
Minori and Touya would, since Touya is a cripple and Minori would feel she should stay by his and Shiroe's side.
Isuzu would stay for Rudy.
Akatsuki and Naotsugu would stay for Shiroe.
>japanese music episode(s)
Don't make me drop this show.
Has there ever in the history of anime been a good music episode featuring some random idol singing?
>by the time that this season finishes, in probably won't be complete, and the anime will have essentially caught up to the novels.
They could just switch to a 13 episode season for a S3
It even had a sticky, you have no excuse.
>it would kind of be depressing if shiroe was the only one who decided to stay.
As if his loyal ninja wouldn't remain by his side
>Shiroe finds a way to send everyone back but in doing so he himself is forced to stay behind.
>He feels good about doing so but on the way back to Akiba realizes he's gonna miss everyone
>Quietly enters his guild hall to find Akatsuki waiting for him
>they go off on a "journey"
>Shiro's drawing is different and the sage of miral lake is looking worse in season 2.
>read log horizon wiki
>Log Horizon 1 : Studio Satelight
>Log Horizon 2 : Studio Deen
Deen is the same studio that animate F/SN, I understand everything now.
I wonder if anyone has just abandoned the cities altogether.
Fantasy world innawoods would be cool as fuck, I'd read a spinoff or something about that. A bunch of mid and low level players who can't survive in the cities with all the rioting and unrest trying to start their own place to live in the middle of the wilds. Dealing with roaming monsters getting smarter, managing production with limited resources and low level subclasses and knowing that if you die you might not be able to make it back from the respawn point.
First I'm all, I'm fairly sure companies don't like to do that on general principle. It's part of why we get various kinds of filler. Second, we're talking in terms of volume 8's draft's final part was posted June 7th, volume 9's draft's first part was posted October 13th, and it's final part on December 29th. That's about how fast Mamare can work. 2-3 months for final editing and publication of one volume, and planning for the next volume; then 2-3 months to actually write the draft of the next volume. It probably runs more to the optimistic end of things the less involved he is with the anime, but the blunt facts are he likely can't have two volumes finished by fall. He might not have event started on the draft itself for the second one by then.
So they'd basically need at least a year to get back to the same situation they had at the start of season 2. Anything sooner pretty much guarantees filler.
Nothing really, it's either you have a crafting subclass that makes it easier for you to make a house or you just do it with what knowledge you have with making cabins. Unlike food that exists even before the apocalypse happened, crafting cabins and buildings wasn't possible so failure in creating it really depends on the player and not the subclass required.
>Shiroe could be slamming that pussy all day long
At least Demikas got his priorities straight
>Anything sooner pretty much guarantees filler.
Honestly Im not really so opposed to filler. So long as they just keep it light and inconsequential it can be fun to see side characters off doing thing or the main cast just fuck around a bit.
LH has a lot of side characters we don't see during major events too. So there's a lot of room to expand the existing stuff too.
Not to mention all the side material that's begging for an adaptation
The important question isn't "Is it better?" The question is "Is it real?" Spending all your time in something like VR isn't healthy, which is more or less where Marche is coming from.
On the other hand, as long as it's real... well, people leave shitholes all the time and move to better places. People moving from high crime urban areas to low crime suburbs. People fleeing countries suffering from poverty, famine, war, oppressive regimes, or outright genocide immigrate to, stable, more prosperous countries to make a better life for themselves and their families. That's not escapism, that's getting the fuck out while the gettin's good.
>had sex with old men for money
I can't accept that LH will just be contained within 15 volumes. This shit has so much potential and so much can be explored. He can even have based Krusty as the MC who is traveling the world and trying to conquer the world of Elder Tales since he's no longer bound by Yamato.
>wasn't it real in FFTA though?
it was so real they had to retroactively invent a force plot line so the MC would still be right.
Because fuck moral ambiguity, and conflicting ideas
It's been a long time, but IIRC, Ivalice had transformed/overwritten the real world. They came up with a handwave at the end to make it it's own world, but in the meantime, it was just a distortion of the real world. When you just need to destroy 5-6 things to change it back, it's difficult to call that a real world.
I can see this story ending in about that long, but if there aren't a bunch of tie-ins and spin-offs using the universe after its done I'm going to be real unhappy
Its the only "trapped in a videogame" setting that actually holds my interest
>mfw europoor countries go by poor now
with Nureha siding with scrub horizon? I'm sure Intix will be BTFO soon. And with her initial plot (which is to have control over all of Yamato) foiled by Shiroe even before it began because with his partnership with the Kunie clan, she's going to be so fucking mad.
>implying all the silent Nurehafags aren't secretly planning an Insurrection
>implying Nureha has a chance in hell
Someone asked him a question on twitter i think.
It was pretty cool, /a/ even managed not to spill too much spaghetti, almost managed to act serious and ask decent questions, even got some translatorfags for the answers.
It was cool.
I've been wondering what happened to it, but I know the Japanese love them their New Years, though still nowhere near as hardcore as China.
I'm gonna guess that's why streambro was offline too, LH probably wasn't the only show off the air that day. Still, I was disappointed because I'm not always awake at 0230.
>She's the Sakura of Log Horizon
Do Shiroe ever study Roe2? Shiroe should be very interested in such a extraordinary being like herself.
I think Shiroe would be reluctant to let her go just to chill out with the scrubs.
>race of ritual/people of commie have high magic in return for low health
Alright, simple enough, got it.
The fuck does this class even do?
Isn't that elf from that pk guild?
>i like the candy shop owner
Based taste Marmalade.
Eh, I like her, but there's some good reasons not to. She was (probably) a whore IRL and she used the game as a life support system for her crippled ego. Hence why Inctis throwing a few insults her way was enough to leave her emotionally devastated. Also the revelation of Inctis' control over her makes it unclear how much of her supposedly masterful manipulation of Minami was of her own design and how much was simply instructions from Inctis. We just don't know enough to say either way.
To summarize, she's the epitome of damaged goods and we don't know if she's actually as smart as we were originally led to believe.
And by class I mean race; the bard doesn't have much different stats even though their race is supposed to have majorly fucked up hp.
Commie has switched to calling them Heirophants which I guess is a bit better.
I was under the impression that the differences would be accentuated in transferred characters, like fox tails losing random skills as they level. I don't think there would be a way to balance that to make the class not a crap shoot.
Or maybe that skill loss doesn't happen to the level I'm thinking of, I assumed they meant any skill/technique/skill was up to lose.
I thought it meant they had a normal skill tree like any class, but as they level certain skills get swapped out for other skills.
I'm pretty sure that they keep certain base skills like taunt for tanks and a nuke for casters, otherwise there would be little reason to gamble hours and hours for little reward.
Here is another bard for comparisson
What was this about?
Any relation to Crusty's disappearance?
No, it has nothing to with Crusty.
It's about adventureres who have been blacklisted from their cathedral. They don't respawn but nobody knows what really happens to them. They might be back in the real world or they might be dead. Slufox thinks she haunted by the spirits of the adventurers she blacklisted
The time overlap in the narrative really didn't do it any favors.
Still, I found it much more enjoyable once I stopped watching around Episode 8 and waited for the episodes to pile up so I could watch it all in one go.
Missed out on the discussion threads, but it isn't as if all the topics up until Kanami's story haven't been burnt through ad nauseum already.
She did nothing, she was a child forced into prostitution by her parents.
And, you know, /a/ likes to bash against women, raped women, non virgin women, fat-titted women, etc.
And Nureha, coincidentally, is all of that.
So /a/ bashes Nureha.
No episode due to New Year's programming. NHK marathoned the first half of season 2 instead.
Well, if you want a sample, someone's translated the drama CD for Kanami's side story (which has since become volume 9):
