-High budget animation for its time

-Unique take on monsters and gore
-Strong male protagonist with development

-Completely horrid flow, with constantly changing story arcs and side plots that go nowhere
-Half the cast is not needed
-Most of the fighting and monsters are redundant
-Constantly changing art design
-OMAKEs are both the best and worst part of the show
