So as we were discussing, if Yuuna is a god, when and if the rest of the team go back to being hero's they will become Yuuna's heros. and draw more of their power from her. Although Yuna and Shinju will probably be sharing power for some time.
This also gives a role for Sonoko in the show as she is best suited to be the leader of Shinjus Yuusha. He will still need some, although Yuna and her Yusha will help.
Its quite a symbiotic relationship. A older god who cannot move who needs to be fed, and young god with lesser powers but who is mobile and can get the food he needs cooperate together.

My only problem with this is the fact that we still know little of the Vertex makers (a la creators of the BETA in Muv-Luv unless I missed something) so speculating far into the future becomes a problem.

The cooperation sounds good as it comes naturally, as in -> The Stardust is making Constellation Vertex -> Attack the still-in-the-making-core or prepare for a trap inside the barrier. But is this enough for the long run? Does Shinju-sama intents to go on the offensive? Will Yuuna chose the status-quo or prefer an offensive? What about the other Heroes? Will they stay in a very long war of attrition or take the risk an attack?

Well in the near term, where to attack the vertex would be based on how close they need to be to Shinju for him to share in the feast. Do they have to get the vertex into the forest before Shinju can harvest the remains or can Yuna transmit power to him by touching them even outside the barrier.
It seems to me that Yuna and Shinju need different things from the kill. Shinju needs the energy, the rainbow light, from the kills. Yuna needs the act of killing them, she may get energy from touching the core but she has much less in the way of energy demand or storage right now, what she needs is like XP rather than mana. To become more and more godlike she has to kill more vertexes in more and more difficult fights or save more people in more rescues and in general do heroic things that tax her willpower or she wont grow. She has to be challenged.

Yeah it definitely doesn't since she was at that moment facing Shinju. It could be a inbetweeners mistake like Sonoko's missing limbs in ep8.
However as Gyuuki is still there, it is symbolic of Shinju protecting Yuna as she transformed. The mankai, her offensive power, was coming from her willpower, but Shinjuu was still watching over her and Gyuuki was protecting her, so all HER energy was for punching the sun.

I did not think it in that way. Makes sense for both to have different needs and requirements. Shinju-sama also gets fresh sand from each kill that gets dropped on the spot so it may be more beneficial for them to fight inside the Forest at first before moving on to their Natural Expand.

Another thing unknown is, what percentage of a gods power comes from being loved by people. This could be why Itsuki is in the cast. She has her voice back now, if she auditions again and becomes a published idol and starts singing about Yuna and the Yusha-bu.
Its fairly obvious that love is not of universal importance because Amaterasu and the other celestial gods just destroyed most of their worshipers and are still around. But how long can Yuna's status be hidden, and should it be, or should it be advertised?

Not to mention that Shunju-sama provides for most things in the island so the demand of power is rather high for such a (relatively) small number of people. Perhaps there are more factors included.

As for the Vertex wiping out most of the planet habitable zone it may be that either they harvested the energy/land for either another life-form or to directly give it to their creators.

After Sonoko said that using Mankai is like borrowing the gods power I think it's pretty clear that the Vertex also release this god power, and as seen in the last episode Shinju can absorb it.
