I bet you anons will think twice before killing cockroaches now, huh?
Cockroach girl has already been done and in a far more endearing manner.
what the fuck is this? Some highschool project? Please tell me professional animators didn't actually make this garbage
>But was she ever naked? Let's focus on the important things.
Jesus this gives me a headache
how did they look at this and say "yes, we've done all we can do to make this quality animation, air it"
Jesus christ I'm not even gonna watch it it would just make me sick, definitely the worst episode
My bad, someone from the last thread listed Yuasa as an animator in this and nobody corrected it. Regardless, it looks fantastic.
Why do people find intentionally rough drawings so bewildering?
>liking rotoscoped garbage with speedlines everywhere
So, we gonna have two weeks of threads for this one where we all just say the same shit every day? I'm cool with that.
I can't believe people are defending this garbage. The story was cute, that's about where the positives stop. The line work was terrible, like rough sketch level terrible, and there's "melting" animation fucking everywhere.
Here are the credits on the website.
>music and words: MIYA
>Sotte Bosse are
>cana and hiroshi nakamura
>Guitar: Hiroshi Kawamura
>Drums: George Kano
where are all the sharp lines? I can hardly see anything!
IT'S DEFINITELY SHIT
Eh, it was decent but
Ruined it for me
Keep quoting that really well animated sequence and implying that it's not good.
I'm sure we're all convinced this is a consensus and not one or two shitposters with nothing better to do.
>have never had a cockroach/large bug-based situation
Life is still worth living.
If the lines aren't even it ain't polished.
>army men sarges heroes
I really don't see how some people can say the animation or art is supposed to be bad. It's gorgeous. What's wrong with looking sketchy?
It's not like straight lines are the epitome of beauty.
I had a
boyfriendwho was like that whenever he saw a bug in his house, he used to call for me to come help him kill a tiny spider or something and he'd freak out when I showed it to him after killing it
That's a bit like saying that a painting isn't polished because you can see the brush strokes. That's a stylistic choice to make it look like it's a moving hand-drawn sketch, despite the fact that it's clearly CG. Adapting that character design to digital format was probably very difficult.
I am. But as you see from the first thread, sakugafags are trying to push the others away from the thread so that they could discuss names together.
Lines look like what you found on a kid's drawing book. Art style was kinda shit, and holy fuck those jerky animation at the beginning already ruined everything
Ohira's part looks like he pooped and smears his shit all over the paper. Art for sure, heh.
You have no idea what you're talking about.
You have zero knowledge into the amount of work that goes into animating these shorts in comparison to your average low-budget piece of shit forged in korea, and its annoying that you act like you do.
The movements the characters make are incredibly realistic and the only reason you don't like is the art-style.
Go back to watching your average anime gook stills if you want something that is superficially pretty but looks like shit otherwise.
>waaah you have to be on par with muh sakuga artists to say bad things about them
define life-like movement, and yes please try.
My fucking sides.
Not quite. The animation director for Kid's Story
was Shinji Hashimoto who did key animation for Ogi-Nishikubo. Shinya Ohira and Masashi Ando also did key animation on both shorts. So, there's a connection there, but it's not entirely accurate to say it's the same motherfuckers.
If Gokiburi Gijinka didn't do it, I don't think this will.
Nice straw man btw. Why is it that hard to accept the fact that these are badly drawn?
There'll be no such shitstorm if it was done by some unpopular animators.
I expect more from those names.
>Please tell me professional animators didn't actually make this garbage
>I think the word you're searching for is poorly animated
>shit art and animation
>how did they look at this and say "yes, we've done all we can do to make this quality animation, air it"
>poorly done choppy storyboard sketch tier drawings are not interesting
>Art style was kinda shit, and holy fuck those jerky animation at the beginning already ruined everything
Some of you faggots wouldn't know good animation if it bit you in the dick. Get it together, /a/.
>there are people in this thread who think that this was badly animated
blows my mind. I'm fucking dumbfounded. I can't for the life of me believe what I am reading. Surely this is just some epic ruse because it's fucking working. The best animated short, with incredibly expressive acting and motion and amazingly three dimensional dynamic movement, comes out of animatorexpo and people call it shit? What is this bizarro-neo-/a/ (buzzwords!)?
Just from the people who worked on this
How is it that people who spend majority of their week watching anime don't seem to know anything about animation? You'd think that people would automatically develop an eye for this kinda shit after a while?
>with incredibly expressive acting and motion and amazingly three dimensional dynamic movement, comes out of animatorexpo and people call it shit?
I really hope YOU'RE rusing because this is some of the dumbest shit I've read in months, this short was literally none of that
kind of relevant. when i lived in sc, i had to kill 4 of these motherfuckers a day. they came in through the house from under the carpets and their hole was directly beside my bathroom door. they would always come in while i was taking a shit so yeah you're goddamn right i'll squish the ever-loving fuck out of one if I saw fuck you fuck them fuck life
I live in Florida and encounter huge palmetto bugs every fucking day.
I only kill them if they get in my way or actively try touch me. Usually I just leave them be or shoo them into the shadows.
I never kill insects. I catch them and put them outside.
Naruto, like many other popular anime, has respectable animation often enough to be notable. It's not the best, but it also isn't just pain.gif. I don't care for Naruto but this much is indisputable.
I can't find a better picture than this, but are you calling this bad?
I don't kill bugs that get in my house. I catch them and release them if I can.
Spiders are easy enough unless they're ground spiders and they see you coming. They like to beeline for cracks in the moulding and I can't do shit there. Flying insects are harder cuz, well, they can fly, but they'll land eventually. Although I guess I've never had to deal with roaches specifically.
I kill mosquitoes on sight.
The only things I end up releasing are spiders. Spiders are bros. Sometimes I even let them stay, provided it isn't near my bed or anywhere I eat or sit or sleep.
All other insects can go to hell.
