I just finished this show and loved it even more than Gurren Lagan. Am I an anime pleb for liking this? Best girl attached.
what you have to understand is that Kill la Kill shift at the midway point really brought it down. It was a fun ride much like gurren lagan but at the same time it hit the same problem. The second half made it mediocre. It's fun to watch once but I couldn't see myself watching it again.
Great! Actually this was my first
non raidpost on /a/, and I had no clue what they thought of this. My friends who watch anime say I'm a pleb. I just want someone to discuss it with.
typical fanservice show where fatass faggots are too ashamed to admit they like tits, so they make up some bullshit about amazing this, amazing that, plot whatever
its literally just tits until the last 5 minutes of the episode where the network forced them to have some semblance of plot in order for it to air
I liked how it kept 1iupping itself, it started out ridiculous but it just kept climbing that mountain right past insanity into pure glory. I usually hate any anime with those stupid >_< half faces, I didn't even watch FLCL because of them, but KlK made them worth it.
It wasn't classy or subtle because that was never the point. Fuck the haters, they're just allergic to fun.
Wish I could discuss specifics but I finished it a fucking year ago, and didn't sleep last night. Now go on to watch AoT and Hellsing Ultimate Abridged and don't come back to /a/ before you do because they'll ruin them both for you. And when you're done read Berserk.
It really had nothing to do with that.
The original build for the show had conservative outfits and the only reason they switched to the skimpy ones was they had the idea that they would get a lot of cosplayer girls to get naked. The being ashamed part doesn't even apply, since it had nothing to do with body image and instead was about heroine and hero wanting to form a bond.
It was alright, hype was full throttle when it was airing which made me like it more.
Gurren Lagann is mediocre aside from the animation, and KLK is garbage except for some of the animation. But whatever floats your boat, man. Maybe you like Imaishi, who was in charge of both shows. I just think he's pretty garbage and a one-trick pony.
I guess for me, at least Gurren Lagann remained visually appealing to look at, I thought the final battle was interesting, and the soundtrack was good - it made up for how lackluster the plot became. Kill la Kill just became worse and worse to look at, the second half's soundtrack was totally forgettable, and the final battle was eh at best so it made the plot impossible to ignore.
It was still a fun ride, I enjoyed watching the streams with /a/ but unlike GL I probably wouldn't spontaneously rewatch it.
The tri school raid trip probably would've been funnier if we got the Japanese ccultural joke. Same thing with Nonon always calling Sanageyama a "Northern Kanto Monkey".
Y-you know what they say about those Northern Kanto folk
This is now a Jakuzure thread
>she will never moan for you
You got everything right OP
It's 10x better than TTGL, Why would you be a pleb.
It's a really good original with some good characters, Nui a fucking best by a mile.
I miss all the threads. All the hype.
Okay show but damn it was fun to watch with /a/.
IT'S ME RYUUKO, IT WAS ME AAAALLLLLL ALONG
YOU ALL BOUGHT IT
The cities' reputations aren't that obscure that people wouldn't get that it was a big send-up, are they? I think it just fell at a weird place in the story. It's supposed to be the climax of Satsuki's conquest but Ragyo tripping neon signs blaring "I AM THE MAIN VILLAIN" undermined the whole thing. It'd be kinda like if Simon still had to defeat Lordgenome but the Antispiral was already running around and being obviously evil.
>Madoka=Nominated for Academy Award
Though to be fair the Academy is a joke, the only reason Frozen won was because the Judges literally didn't give a shit enough to even watch the movies they were voting on.
Yep, but when they interviewed the Judges, it was revealed that the Academy basically thinks all animation is a joke and only for kids.
So the consideration for nomination doesn't even matter, they would have never watched it anyways and only picked Frozen because it was Disney.
No, you have it all figured out.
Hot-blooded anime are the best.
(Lack of) tits is just a nice bonus.
>loved it even more than Gurren Lagan
>I just finished this show
>its been more than 8 months since final episode
I don't fucking understand retards like these.
What would be the reason to watch KlK at all, now, after the hype is gone and you can't watch it with /a/ anymore.
I could watch this crap only because it was fun to spam random shit on stream chat with 2 thousands of other anons watching the final episode together. Shit was fucking glorious.
tfw no sexually abused satsuki gf
It was extremly fun
The music was hype, the characters were hype, the fights were good, everything about it was simply fun
Most people on /a/ that hate it are simply bitter because it wasn't a 2deep4u story
It was good, but it wasn't Gurren Lagann.
I still enjoyed it immensely.
Those who hate are either underwhelmed that it wasn't as good as previous Gainax or allergic to stupid fun (i.e., to Gainax and Trigger).
I like to listen to the second OP while working out
This shit is so catchy
I think that's exactly it,Kill la kill is supposed to be mindless fun,it's a parody of the battle-anime,looking for some deeper plot is pointless
I wouldn't lump Madoka in with those because the typical anime clownery was totally absent from it. It succeeds as a serious work, at least in my opinion.
Likewise, at least the first cour of Kill La Kill made light of its own silliness. I think it lost touch with that in the second cour and became something worthy of the criticism it receives here.
It doesn't stop a huge number of people from praising it wildly and raising a big scene about it on the internet. It's pretty annoying, but there's no need to get upset about their "shitty opinions". It's just entertainment.
That, and the extended yelling at each other, the constant power-ups,the ''Friendship speech saves the day''-trope,the ''Protagoinst goes evil'' trope...
Kill la kill works through every cliche of the action anime and makes fun of it,which is why it's so fun to watch
That and the massive fanservice
>tfw no more Monkey madness ever again
Nui was fantastic
I'd imagine sex with Ryuko would be awkward at first. She couldn't be honest with her body. When she was about to cum she'd make you pull out and finish on your own.
Satsuki would be furious at seeing this, and would lecture her sister on the proper way for a woman to be with a man. She'd push you onto your back and ride you until you finished deep inside of her. Then she'd stand up, holding your seed in with her hand, and tell Ryuko to taste what a man is, pushing Ryuko's head into her crotch, forcing her to suck your seed from within her.
Then she'd make Ryuko mount you again. She'd borrow senketsu and create a strapon that she'd use to penetrate her sister's anus. The two of you pounding away together forcing Ryuko to be honest with her body as Senketsu's voice echoes words of encouragement, alternating between muffled and audible as he's plunged and pulled repeatedly from Ryuko's ass.
I beg to differ. Not only is Nui already the most fuckable on her own, but with the clones you could have a 50some of identical Nuis.
Not only do you think KLK is some amazing shit, you didn't watch it until now and you compare it to TTGL as if that was a natural thing.
Fuck off newfag
I enjoyed Kill La Kill but I disagree, the first half of Gurenn Lagann was better then any cour of Kill La Kill.
Still I enjoyed each cour of Kill La Kill
aside from episodes 14, 19-20more then Gurenn Lagann's second cour, even with galactic sized mech fights shit was boring as fuck until the last two episodes.
I thought this was relivent
I figured this show was a shounen and understood that--it was fun, but it was nothing profound. It basically did what it was supposed to, and for that it's a good show. However, I think it's hard to say that it has any merit beyond its "fun" aspect.
