I think there are ebook versions of his books, but to be honest, kanji aren't the biggest problem, it's the grammar. His writing style is beautiful and eloquent, but a lot more complicated than most LNs or writers like Murakami. There is a pretty good manga version of Yoru wa mijikashi, aruke yo otome, though - it has furigana and the grammar is not that hard, so you might try that for starters.

Shit like Benten just randomly being so beautiful that it's literally a plot point and the father decides to kill himself, wasting his family because muh honor, or how the Friday fellow are meant to be this sort of Illuminati type but are just boring day job workers barely anywhere high up. One owns a chain of hotels, the other is a professor. Wow, so influential. Or how the brother just out of nowhere backstabs his brother. Or how CONVENIENTLY the daughter was there to listen to pass on what happened.
Or how Benten just decides to go back with the old man at the end for no reason.

I'd go almost so far to say that Twintail is AOTD by how much it's near perfect in every regards except maybe animation. Tanuki is just shit. Overrated as fuck.

If I had to pick something else, I'd take Space Dandy over Ping Pong - both had great visuals, sound, and storylines. Neither had particularly complex charactization, but that can be more easily forgiven in Space Dandy which was strictly episodic, so I enjoyed it more than I did Ping Pong.
