This fucking guy, he sees angels fall from the sky and his first reaction is to call them faggots
No, but he does flash his ass a lot.
When they look like this, it's hard not to call them faggots.
But he has bitching wings and rather charismatic voice.
I like the variety in the wing designs. Overall, the angels and demons are still my least favorite of the designs, but they have elements I do appreciate.
Speaking of which, nevermind about the nails.
That's a fucking guy? Holy shit, here I am thinking I can usually tell the difference even in anime.
why does MAPPA make the best reaction faces?
Why the eggshell?
>No Lavalley armpit hair yet.
Please MAPPA make it happen.
>no Jeanne armpit hair yet
Could knowing Azazel mutually be related to why she's in such good spirits for a zombie?
>you will never smell Jeanne or Lavalley's armpits after a sweaty battle.
So bomber head is going to be a holy knight who brings peace to the land huh?
Take off the armor and it's him. Unless you mean like real angels or something. If that's the case I have some news for you.
Santa-san isn't real either, nerd.
In the bible angels were invisible, just a man, or, and this might blow your mind, more like the angels in bayonetta where they're all shiny, made of something like precocious stones and metal with NO WINGS. So those paintings of cherubs and glowing men with wings in your chapel are also wrong.
You got Bacchus who is the Roman name for Dionysus while they call the main God Zeus which is the Greek name for Jupiter.
All while at the same time having angels like Michael and Azazel from Hebrew/Christan Bible. And Bahamut from Arabic/muslim mythology.
Japs wiki too hard.
I haven't been able to try since no mobile device but I like the card pictures a lot.
Best man Lavalley won't be so best anymore when it's revealed he's the one manipulating Amira. There's literally no way for him to evade the morally gray area. If he's not her father but simply Martinet's agent then there's help for him. But if he is her fater and he has some good intention, he's still manipulating his kid and using its power to his own ends without telling the truth. The necklace Amira is wearing is almost certaintly his method of locating her, without it the Orlean Knights wouldn't even know where to start and yet for some reason they're always on her tails. The amulet glows when she's on Gregor, and sure enough there are the knights. Also it seems like Amira got her necklace from Martinet, so they are at least cooperating. Lavalley is mising at the start of the episode, and sure enough we're introduced to Martinet at the very same time. And so on.
I get the feeling they might pull a face-hell turn with him as well. It's not something I particularly like, to be honest. I prefer him being an honorable guy, but there are definitely things pointing towards he might turn out to be some demon or agent for the demons, or something. Some other people have speculated what if he's Lucifer in disguise so deep he doesn't even know it.
I'm hoping for the best, but yeah, I'm fearing the worst.
I feel the same. The scenes where he's holding the pendant and gazes at the horizon as if searching for Amira were very beautiful and made me root for their reunion a lot, but now it appears as something almost sinister. The way he lures her out of the room, it almost feels child molester baiting a kid with candy. But maybe he was also luring her away from her room to safety. If he communicates with Martinet he knows that Azazel is coming and Amira can't leave her room- leaving her a vulnerable target. I think he's almost certaintly a demon, but maybe not a complete scum. Feels like next episode might decide how I'll feel about several characters, I'm already rooting for Azazel because he has so much against him going on and so little plot armour.
> The way he lures her out of the room, it almost feels child molester baiting a kid with candy
I would most definitely not go that far, for a variety of reasons, but yeah I got a sort of strange feeling from him a couple of times this episode.
First there was the glance they focused on where the bounty hunter device didn't detect her as a demon. He knew it wasn't going to, and when I first saw the preview pic from that specific scene is when it first really cemented my thoughts that "Oh christ, they might actually make him evil".
One that sticks out to me though is this scene in the pic. The way he delivers that line, I can't quite tell if it's meant to be honest surprise, like in a neutral way, or an exclamation; or if it's surprise, in the "this is bad news" type way. Like I said before, I'm hoping it's one of the former. I would be severely disappointed if they turned him into someone evil. But yeah, there is definitely lot more to him than anyone in these threads ever initially thought.
Goddamn it, why does my husbando have to be the weird, mysterious one who might be evil. I just wanted an honorable bara. Damn you SNB writers.
Well, he does have male zettai ryouiki. I don't blame anyone for being confused.
I think the angels mentioned that the ones responsible for the "magical force" or whatever protecting Amira as she stole the god key would make a move on her when she's situated in the castle. So yeah, that might be referring to Lavalley which would implicate him working for Martinet. I wonder if the angels are intentionally keeping her there to lure them out?
I finished the second installment of the bonus shorts; here you guys go. Posting in two parts because there were two images used.
BahaGene Theater Episode 2: Preparations for the Journey to Helheim
Favaro: If we're going on this journey we've got to get ready first! I've got my last bounty right here, so let's go stock up! ...Hey, what the hell are you doing?
Amira: What? I'm eating meat. I don't know what kind of meat it is, but... hmm, this meat is quite tasty.
Favaro: Waaait a second, where'd you get the money for that?! --Hey, my wallet's gone!!
Amira: Wallet? ...By "wallet", could you be referring to this?
Favaro: G-give it back! ...AAAAAHHHH! You spent practically all of it!
Amira: Do not worry. I exchanged it for a large quantity of delicious meat. There's even a little for you.
Favaro: A little? How come I only get a little? Wait, forget that! This isn't what we needed to spend that money on! We've got a lot of other things we need to buy first, like clothes!
Amira: Clothes? In that case, did we not buy some just previously? The ones you picked out according to your tastes...
Favaro: I-it's not like I chose them to my tastes! Whatever, enough talk about that. Getting to Helheim is going to cost money. No money, no Helheim, got it?
Amira: ...no Helheim?
Amira: ...no Helheim?
Favaro: Ah, no, we'll get there. We'll definitely get you there. If I can catch enough bounties along the way, that'll cover the traveling funds for me to get you to Helheim for sure. Really, I ain't lyin'. Look me in the eyes.
> I wonder if the angels are intentionally keeping her there to lure them out?
Gabriel pretty much says it out loud. But here comes Martinet to fuck everyone over: he manipulates Azazel to storm the castle and deter attention from Lavalley who has a clean chance at Amira amongst all the ruckus. Even if he'll have to show up in formation.
You're quite welcome. Have to fill the time until next Monday somehow.
There's such disproportion between Azazel and the number and power of his adversaries right now that it'd be almost too obvious to kill him off.
That's my only strand of hope ;_;
Yup, and it seems too appropriate that he'd die being manipulated himself. Considering he's the one responsible for manipulating Kaisar and Favaro's dad to their deaths.
It would be quite hilarious if all those biblical monstrosities descended from heaven and mortals were all in reverent awe.
Complete with the "fear not, mortal" line.
After that they could put on some illusions to appear like faggy humans of course, once they realize it's bad PR.
So much Azazel legend relevant things going on on that throne. Elevens googled well.
>Portrait of condemned souls as back rest.
>Arm rest shaped like horns of a goat, Azazel is the scape goat.
>Also decorated with apples, Azazel was supposed to be the serpent who lured Eve.
>Peacock tail at the very back, Azazel is also associated with peacocks.
What did I miss.
>Amira: Clothes? In that case, did we not buy some just previously? The ones you picked out according to your tastes...
>Favaro: I-it's not like I chose them to my tastes!
Dat tsun. It seems like him and Kaisar have the same tastes, judging from his reaction to her in the lake.
>goodhearted rouge with a tail
>knight who is noble to the point of retardation and screams a lot
>beautiful, capable girl with a mysterious pendant
>sarcastic magic loli
Sometimes I wonder if this shit was deliberate.
>It seems like him and Kaisar have the same tastes, judging from his reaction to her in the lake.
Oh, I know where this is going, and I like it.
Maybe in doujinshi. Or not ;___;
Look at this dipshit caring about image quality on a board infested with reaction images. You probably post them too so just fuck off already because you're derailing the thread and nobody cares.
Effeminate silver-haired antagonist: also check.
(Not like those are rare in Japanese media or anything, but still.)
reaction images are cropped and quality is not really relevant. PNGs are useful for re-editing them, JPG is fine to to keep filesize down. Not many complaints there.
But if you take screenshots then you really shouldn't make the shittiest quality possible and act as if you didn't do anything wrong.
Satou tweeted a pic of him drinking with the VAs of Martinet and Azazel after recordings and they should be doing episode 9 or later by now, so unless it's some flashback bullshit there's a chance they'll stick around for a few more episodes.
True angels are fucking terrifying dude.
You do not want that.
The cherubim that you commonly see are literally the weakest angels and their primary purpose is for interaction with humanity.
A human seeing a powerful angel would literally go insane.
