The big three were called that not because shounen jump gives something special to the top three manga that the fourth doesn't get, but because in terms of popularity three series stood well ahead of any other titles it ran.

That situation no longer seems to apply - Naruto's over, Bleach's readership has plummeted, and there aren't two new titles that slot into their roles, but a bunch of modestly popular ones. So we don't see a new term replace it.

Mikasa is obsessed with Eren because he is literally the last family she ever had. She has a harsh kill or be killed attitude with the world because of what her biological father told her before he was killed. She's clearly a traumatized individual, as her older self acts far differently from the innocent child she used to be. She also struggles with weakness, particularly since she really SHOULD be better. This has helped her be able to transition from killing titans to being willing to kill humans with ease.

Levi is a very clearly broken and tired man. His affection for his subordinates and comrades is obvious despite how annoyed he always seems. You get the impression that he has been through a lot, and the few times his past has been let on this much is clear. He has no reservations whatsoever turning from titan killing to human killing because he fully understands that it's necessary. While a leader himself, he much prefers to be led because he understands he's best utilized as a weapon. Also, seeing people die while under his command wounds him deep even to this day.

If you look at the sales per volume One Piece is doing as well as ever, and is still at the top.
That said, SnK is doing incredibly well.

Why hasn't Golgo 13 been considered part of the big 3 again? It's been running since 1968 with 174 volumes to its name and it's the third best selling manga of all time after One Piece and Dragonball Z.
