Basara's character design/art is really shit, for the few pages I saw. As generic as it gets.
Banana Fish, on the other hand, it looks more like a hybrid between a stereotypical shounen and a josei, rather than a shoujo. Never tried it, but I'm downloading it as we speak. I'll add it to my backlog.
