This is so frustrating. I'm probably about to get banned from mandarake because they won't take my visa debit card, even though i'm positive it can be charged as credit. It's an adult item so paypal isn't an option, and this is the second time i'll likely have to cancel since a previous item wouldn't take either paypal or the card, even when an item before that took paypal just fine.

Does anyone have absolutely any suggestion on what to do? SAL Has nothing to do with a boat. It's the lowest priority airmail which gets treated as surface mail once it reaches your country.

As to refunds, well it depends on whether or not your package was insured. If it was insured then in theory you're entitled to the declared value on the package from the postal service that lost it. So you'd have to file a claim with the postal office or get the sender to file a claim with the postal office, wait for them to conduct an 'investigation' and if you're lucky you'll get a refund.

The refund depends on where the package is lost. When you pay high shipping fees, like EMS, you are paying so that Amiko makes sure that both postal services from Japan and your country agree to refund the value stated on your invoice in case it is lost.

If the package lost its tracking somewhere in Japan, Amiko will contact their local mail service and ask for the refund, if its lost after it entered your country you'll have to contact them and make them refund your money if it indeed is lost.

This is a long process and can be very tiresome if its the first time it happens to you but its the only way to get it resolved. Its not Amiko's fault that your mail service is shitty if you didn't get your package.
