When were you when kyoani invented olev?
Look at these calves god damn
>Tamako groping for the cups
>Mochizou pinching himself
Fuck. My heart.
>I should watch the series before the movie?
Not necessarily. The only thing you'll not understand is why they show brown people in the start and at the end of the movie if they don't have anything to do with the plot, but you can always blame that to some 2deep symbolism.
I just watched the crappy subs that came out before those and it was fine. Yeah it's got grammar errors out the ass, but it's basically just a literal translation and you'll understand it just fine.
A lot of the series is about the community they're in and
Mochizou and Midori wanting the Tamako. Also it has Kanna being best girl and the romance of Tamako's parents. Just ignore the fucking bird.
>Worldbuilding is one of the most important parts of anime to me.
Then just watch the series. The movie is a direct sequel. The main world building for the movie happens in ep 1-5 and 9 in the series if you dont want to watch the whole thing.
The lack of descreening fucking murdered the image. And descreen low res images does not work well.
because the budget was originally supposed to be spent on a second season but kyoani finds a way and just make a movie sequel instead
>Moschizou, daisuki desu
And then my heart exploded.
Kyoani finally writes a good original script. All they had to do was remove the Dera.
Midori's feelings for Tamako are clearer as well if you've seen the series.
Decide for yourself
I bet she loved this.
Wasn't one enough?
Tamako Market is definitely one of my favorite shows in recent years. And the more I think about it and see that so many people dislike it the more I appreciate the fact that KyoAni still takes these risks. I guess it didn't pay off in terms of money and that's sad but they completely satisfied me.
I agree, he was annoying at points but I liked him for the most part. I actually thought Dera and Choi were fairly fun characters.
I thought Tamako was pretty boring though for the most part. I loved the movie because she had to stop being so dense and grow up.
>I enjoyed the movie but the show was awful!
Keep having shit taste /a/
Sell me on why the show was good. Considering picking it back up since good subs are taking too long. All I remember at this point was Midori was a piece of shit, so was the bird, and Kanna was best girl.
>Suzuki Aya singing Koi no Uta
>Her telephona numbah
Not him but it had its good points. I thought that when Choi got introduced the show picked up. Episode 10 was probably my favourite and made me like Midori better.
I thought the movie was better though, but the series does a good build up.
Why did promotional art show her cutting her hair?
He felt really out of place in an otherwise very grounded world. Especially at the beginning, he was a grating presence but at least everybody else also treated him like shit too. I got used to him and tolerated him because the rest of the show was so comfy, but the best episodes of the show have him taking a very minor or no role at all. A lot of the times he felt like a mascot character that exists only because apparently it's the law that every anime has a marketable mascot character.
Tamako was at its best when it was about the marketplace and the characters. I understand the point of Dera's character from a story mechanics sense. He moves things along as a mediator that can talk to all sides, but that role didn't have to be a weird talking bird that doubles as a projector, video conferencing tool, and speakers because I dunno, magic brown people.
Looking back on the series, I'm struggling to hate him as much as I did when I started, but I still don't like him and he was a major turnoff for me that on multiple occasions nearly made me drop the show.
The way she says "Mochizou?" here was adorable.
I wish we had more of these Tamako faces in the series.
It's all over, ;_;.
That was such a great scene. Tamako fucking up the throw by throwing both cups and so on.
This was a fluffy movie. I liked it. Mochizou is one lucky guy. Now he can film Tamako all the time.
I liked the movie as well, but I'm surprised to find that no one here is jumping on the no resolution ending train. Seriously. Mochizou is still going to Tokyo for college and it seems that Tamako won't abandon mochi and the family business for him, despite that obviously symbolic scene at the beginning when she drops the mochi shaped rock in the river. Are just supposed to believe that their love overcomes the distance between them? It was cute and happy nonetheless, but of course cute and happy things like these always make me melancholy.
>I liked the movie as well, but I'm surprised to find that no one here is jumping on the no resolution ending train.
There's always the occasional troll that pops up, but the majority of people discussing this movie have proven they're all pretty mature. You should have been here three or so threads ago when there was intelligent Hyouka discussion without the usual KyoAni shitflinging.
>despite that obviously symbolic scene at the beginning when she drops the mochi shaped rock in the river.
That might just be your way of interpreting that scene I saw it more in the same vein as her unwittingly switching the word "mochi" for "Mochizou". After all, her dropping the rock at all was, also, accidental.
That aside however, I'm pretty sure the two of them will be fine even if Mochi goes off to study in Tokyo. Tamako's too innocent and Mochizou's too smitten to love anyone else.
>a Dekomori and Nibutani focused movie.
can you imagine how bad the tamako movie would have been as a season?
6 episodes of Mochizou getting courage , 6 episodes of awkwardness and realization[/spoiler ], 5 minutes of confession.
Movie was the right approach, and I'm glad they did it considering how good it was.
Mochimom is fine too
The whole throwing the cups at him was pretty predictable for me. I mean, I knew she was going to do it because she had to catch one of the cups to contrast the scene at the beginning of the movie.
J-Just make any new Nichijou anime. I don't care how small it is.
I was when this happened.
>You cant' spoiler love
10/10 every time.
It's protected hand-holding. They're doing it for pleasure rather than conceiving a child.
Nobody likes Kyoani shows when they air because /a/ is full of hipsters, and Kyoani usually has the best production values each season.
Just look at the Amagi Brilliant Park threads. Full of retards telling everyone to stop talking about the anime, to stop talking about Sento and just circlejerking. Nobody in those threads even discusses the show, they just tell each other to stop enjoying things.
A few weeks after Amagi ends, it'll suddenly be considered a great show by /a/.
What's the song in this scene and the scene before that?
Am I the only one that likes Dera? I don't get all the hate.
I tried a little something, but I may have fucked it up even more.
Still looks pretty good, unlike Ishihara's.
A girl doing the double peace sign without experiencing the feeling of being cummed inside is unnatural. If you ask me, this is a prime target for a slutty photoshop variant.
Jealous of a bird, haha, what a fag.
I once arrived late at school, the principle was on the entrance checking for people who were late like me, he asked me to justify myself and I said I didn't have to because I wasn't underage and could sign my own permits. It goes without saying that he took me in his office and called my parents.
It got bumped up to 4.0 MB a while ago. Now faggots can fuck up even harder.
>OP is a remixed version of Koi no Uta
>ED is a Tamako cover of Koi no Uta
why is this song so perfect?
That's why Mamedai told Mochizou to make sure to come home. It'll be a long distance relationship for Tamako and Mochizou but their love will handle it.
I wanted a Tamako ver. of Koi no Uta since the TV show and I was afraid we'd never get it after the movie opened with it, but I was def happily surprised by the ending.
Only when they wear a skirt.
But I never really understood Japan's fascination with feminine men, it always seemed odd to me that women would be attracted to feminine features in the opposite sex, surely they would be attracted to manly features in men and feminine features in women?
Damn right I'm jealous. But I can't understand her taste in men, so maybe it's for the best.
001.png is the temporary name I use before cropping and cleaning (because it's the default name windows gives to scanned images).
>But I never really understood Japan's fascination with feminine men
Many of the older classical Japanese plays (nou drama and kyogen) were entirely comprised of Japanese men, even for women roles.
To put it simply, this is because they believed that women were inferior to men in playing the role of a woman.
But plays during Shakespeare's time were cast entirely with men as well for the same stupid reason. Yes, Juliet was a man.
But we don't have the same fascination with girly men. Any man acting feminine in the West is assumed to be gay, so women like him for an entirely different reason.
The people in this thread said these were the good subs.
I think he was just going to take a practice version of the entrance exam. I mean think about the context, why is his entrance exam test on the day when he was supposed to have school which got cancelled by ebola?
No one was really at the school though. Lesibian even showed up in casual clothes, so I question whether it was a school day or not.
And its not really a shocker to have an exam on a school day. Its like how people have to take the ACT before Spring in order to apply for colleges (fall) in the US.
school did get cancelled for them since everyone was getting sick. That's why Tamako didn't tell Mochizou about it so he would come to school where she would confess in the classroom. And why Midori came to school to tell Tamako where Mochizou was.
>I think he was just going to take a practice version of the entrance exam.
That's still not correct at all. A 見学 is just a normal college visit. He was likely just going to take a tour.
Sorry about the shitty quality. The booklet is printed on paper that's both rough and slightly reflective and I think that's messing up the scan.
It's not. I ordered from CDJapan. Although I'm thinking that next I buy something by KyoAni I'm probably gonna buy it from their shop via a proxy.
Seems like you'll get another booklet if you buy from KyoAni Shop.
>To: You, our dearest fan
Thank you Based KyoAni
And yet that's precisely what made them so wonderful.
First year girl is such a cutie.
>still no name for dagashiya chick
I watched only the movie and it was heavily implied she had a thing for Mochizou.
>looked depressed when he told her he was going to Tokyo
>walked slowly back with tamako she was so depressed
>kept stealing glances at him who was stealing glances at Tamako
>helped both Mochizou and Tamako out in their relationship
>Screamed with carpenter girl in order to release her feelings for Mochizou, so she can move on
I don't understand. That was all a lie?
>implying the series is worth watching
Don't kid yourself. I couldn't even bear a couple episodes of that shit. The movie however, was done pretty well, as expected of KyoAni.
That doesn't explain why she looked so depressed when Mochizou told her about his plans for Tokyo. Shouldn't she have been happy? I mean, she is basically ensured Tamako once he leaves.
Okay, so: it's a great watch if you don't want any interesting story whatsoever, or any romantic development. Plus if you want a shitty comic relief character like pic related.
When did you drop it? I dropped it at ep 5 which was where she was being a total cunt to Mochizou about getting close to Tamako. There was also other shit like >>115935721 which heavily implied she likes Tamako.
>staff writing messages to the characters in the show as if they're real people
I've never seen something like this before. Neat.
