It's a joke about the BD2 manga. Saazbaum is the one who got Cruhteo to take Slaine in, and seems like it's Hime's obvious friendly affection for Slaine (even bowing to him) that got on Cruhteo's nerves.

Saazbaum was the one that picked Cruhteo as Slaine's caretaker. Asseylum bowed to Cruhteo and asked him to take care of Slaine and then when he was leaving she freaked out causing him to run back to her which just instigated all of the bullying.

I fault Saazbaum the most for making such a poor choice.

What was the point of making the show a monster of the week deal? Killing one martian at a time didn't solve anything ultimately because there is a fuck ton more. So that the Earth characters could do something, their only real tie to the plot was Asseylum. Even now I don't know what they're going to do with them, the only real way to end this war is to fix Mars's issues. Beat them back and they'll just come right back until the real issue is solved.

All Saazbaum did was provide the spark, all of the other Clans moved on their own. Taking him out really doesn't change anything.

Slaine for the time being seems like he'll be working with Asseylum, my bet is she'll have to go against her grandfather in order to stop the war. He's not going to pull out just because she tells him she's alive, they're in too deep. If Slaine becomes any kind of ruler it won't be until near the end, as it is he's just a regular Knight working under the Princess.
