Is there a deeper significance to Tsukihi wearing old-style kimonos instead of modern clothing?
Is she the best fire sister?
The first time I saw OP's picture I thought it was some serious QUALITY, then I realized that it's two separate angles in one image. That said, that crotch/midrif is so damn detailed, unf.
To answer your question OP, I don't know. Is it made a point in the novel that she wears it? Otherwise I'd say the explanation is because SHAFT.
I like her design so much that I enjoy her screentime a bit more than Karen's. But she's lacking character development, I feel. At least, in the adaptation.
Karen-a-better, though I mad she didn't go to Koyomi's school, she'd look good in their uniform.
Mah nigga. I like Tsukihi more, in voice, appearance, and personality. It's a shame, as you said, that she didn't get more time for thorough exposure of her personality and character development.
So did the cuckoo impregnate Mamaragi or replace a growing fetus? Did it infiltrate the womb at her body at inception? This bothered the fuck out of me to no end.
Not him, I'm >>112485785
Sorry anon, but hairstyle change != character development. Though a lot of studios seem to use it as a tool/catalysis it doesn't change jack shit about who they actually are. I think she got the least screentime, except for that one chick who zombie was with.
Her OP is top tier. The dancing, the hair, and those nails are beautiful.
I didn't even realize what I'd said.
Too stupid to get in that school I'm guessing.
it isn't that she is stupid, it's that she is too into justice and never studied.
>"When did you build your body?"
>"You have a turtle belly."
>Said Tsukihi, pointing a finger at my stomach.
>"Now that I think about it, it's been a while since I last saw you naked, but previously your abs weren't so ripped."
>At the moment I had a six pack. Now that she mentioned it, this was the first time I undressed on front of my sister in this state. I became like this during Spring Break -- it meant I haven't been naked in front of Karen and Tsukihi for a month.
>How careless of me!
>I am embarassed not having show myself nude to my sisters!
Yeah, I know, it was a joke.
to compare hairstyles fluffy hair best
She is voiced by a Goddess.
Only thing I dislike about Shaft is their weird hair fetish, blondes are overrated and stop cutting hair dammit.
Unlike most authors he lets it grow back as time progresses, which I think is under appreciated.
Hitagi toward the end of the story has white Hanekawa hair
I never realized how tall Karen was until the end of the fight scene in her arc. I thought it was QUALITY at first. She seems small everywhere else. Araragi's a bit short as well, isn't he?
Been a while since I had to whip this out.
>as long he doesn't cum inside.
do i have to repeat myself?
Seen already. Karen looks upscaled. I just can't realize her height in my head. I imagined she and Skee-hee would share an identical height less than Ragi's.
every time. my dick is as diamonds as that blimp
There were one-two minor problems, everything else was perfect. Oh, and, there's this one line that may look wrong, but it actually just lacks appropriate context in the anime, so if you haven't read the book it's kind of out of nowhere.
>hairstyle change != character development
Holy shit didnt summer end.
Yes a hairstyle change symbolized character development. Japan has a different culture faggot. Cutting your hair symbolized growth.
Someone post that picture.
And I'm aware of the hair cutting that nips do, but you have to realize that this is a fucking anime, and there are NO changes to personality. Every show I've seen where a character cuts their hair because SHAMEFUR DISPRAY they don't actually change after that. Tsukihi has been relatively the same throughout all of the monogatari series, despite all her hair changes.
In Tsukihi's case, there's no development that we know of. In Crab's, Cat's, probably Kanbaru's (not seen Hana yet), in some others and not, it's supposed to indicate character growth.
Can we just all agree that Platinum Disco was the best OP.
This show sucks, it's all about girls.
The story is nearly absent and you don't even know what's going on because all you can see is tits. You don't watch shows just to jerk off for Pete's sake.
Well there you go, it's an indicator. The hairstyle change itself isn't development, it's a big red flag so autists like you can understand that a person is different than they were before.
I believe women stop growing in mid-to-late teens, while men continue until early-to-mid twenties. Only read that, though.
Depending on my mood, I think I like Marshmallow Justice and Platinum Disco the most.
Sugar Sweet Nightmare had potential to be top tier, but the cat vocals fuck it up. Not too badly, though.
True, which is why I said best song, not OP. Hoestly though I'm incapable of choosing a favorite OP, there are too many that tie. It's between Platinum Disco, Staple Stable, and Marshmallow Justice, though.
Staple Stable is my all time favorite. I still hum it to this very day.
When is commie going to release the rest of the BD of Season 2? I don't want to download fucking Coalgilrs, they are fucking admitting of using shitty subs just because they don't like the commie staff. Big deal, everyone hates Herkz.
>Yeah. I usually do a comparison of subtitles before I choose what group to use in each Monogatari series (Commie completely failing each time due to overly liberal editing and BS cookie-cutter scripts that are to be expected from a group that only cares about the downloads, not the show), but their recent action have made me consider just using DDY for Hana without any comparison. They are not an ethical group and do not deserve the favor of having their BDs done by me.
Threadly reminder that Wooooooooomi's hair is actually scorpions.
Wait, Hitagi and who else?
So now that Snake is a God, or whatever she is, will she still be a normal girl until she plans to kill everyone?
I just finished her arc in Second Season, and I'm wondering where she's going to live now.
just watch Koimonogatari, please. GTFO until you finish it. Fast, before you are spoiled.
Not perfect but watchable. Though the fact they locked the comments on their torrent and are deleting them on their blog means they're not confident. May be in your best interest to wait for DDY, if you can handle that, though Commie's staff may make efforts to take down, delay or otherwise interfere with DDY's releases again.
>Hai hai disco-disco-disco~
It's Arararararagi. Take a fucking guess.
You do realize it happens while she's cutting her hair right, the pair to where she declares she's "changing", you know, the most common piece of symbolism Nisio uses in this whole series for change is every character cutting their hair.
It's funny, because the first time I whatched Bake, I didn't like Hitagi that much, but the more I watched this ED the more I came to like her.
And after Koi, now she's second best girl after Shinobu.
no, she just likes to change her hairstyle
Kanbaru's line about Kaiki having met her mother when she was already not Gaen. That was left kind of out of context in the anime, so one'd stop to think for a second "doesn't she mean that Kaiki still kept contact with her mother when she changed her name?"
He's talking about Nise, he said something like having a non-blood related sister is more exciting on the last episode.
Just don't take anything of what Araragi says seriously, after all, he's the same guy that said this.
>Has there been any news about Kizu at all?
It's suppose to be grandiloquent, Shinobu is not a small fry like the rest of the oddities on the show, she can jump through dimensions and time and even destroy the world on a couple of hours if she feels like it. I think it fits quite well.
They said they are, I don't know what's taking so fucking long, they only have to time the damn thing.
>they only have to time the damn thing.
They are TLCing the script and fixing mistakes, besides SHAFT changed/added a bunch of the cards for the BDs so I guess it's not just retiming it all. But, yeah, things are going slow.
Best scene of the whole series.
mfw I'm taller than every character in the show
Shinobu is the only non Asian and that automatically makes her the tallest character in the show when shes not 8
I bum a free crunchyroll subscription off a friend, Making it the best way.
I saw an anon post Cat in a thread, it's prety explicitly stated that he fucked Crab, but I'm pretty sure that the aftermath of the toothbrush scene implies that they kept scrubbing each other's orifices until Tsuhiki got back
and then kept going.
If Tsukihi's personality changes in every freaking minute/day, that means she has bipolar disorder.
In Japan, a teenage girl usually cut her hair after being rejected / give up / break up with a boy.
Alas, Shinobu has a head on her shoulders so you won't get to watch the world burn for no reason. It's okay though, what actually happens is more gratifying than mass destruction.
That's exactly what I meant.
Here, have a model that will actually be dere once she's done trying to stab you.
He doesn't ever.
He tried to get her to stay in his room after the rejection scene, but she refused, so he will never get to stroke that kitty beyond a pat on the head. And that was when she was the wettest for him. Girl has nice self-control.
Sad they didn't show us the new Cat with longer hair and driving a military jeep we were supposed to get a cameo of, guess they are waiting for S3 when she makes an actual appearance.
She can't ever "lose" the stripes, she just dyes it so they don't show at school. So I assume she'll stop dyeing it and we'll get shoulder length striped hair, like in pic related, but not dyed
Cat is growing up to be a badass isn't she?
With how eccentric her hair and car is, it's like Nisio is trying to make her similar to the world strongest contractor.
Fuck, I want a Zaregoto anime.
One of the reasons I don't want to go to japan is that I would be like a foot taller than everyone else, and all the Japanese would want to take pictures with me like I'm a carnival attraction
Live action would be shit. The character designs and art style are too good to be wasted on some live action crap.
By the way, I should find a more recognizable picture of Inoji. For reasons.
I disagree. Besides, they can do pretty awesome stuff with live action, too.
You know, World's Strongest. And the rest of the characters too. It'd be much more awesome to see her in her red suit and all. No, uh. I am failing here, I am not managing to rationalize why I prefer a live action. Let's try again.
Actually, the character designs, all of them, are something within the bounds of what can be done in a live action. Pushing to the edge, of course, but it'd just be more awesome to see it like that. Of course, a good anime adaptation would be good, too, but there are differences. *monogatari is more self-contained. Shaft always draws everything practically empty. Ha, like that classroom where Kanbaru was. There was nobody there, at all. Until it turned out there are people, after all. It's not like this is anime-only thing, either, what I've read from the novels carries that same feeling of emptiness. Zaregoto, however, is slightly different. The background may BE there, but we simply don't care for it. Background may it be, and pure nonsense may it be, I felt it there, and provided for me the needed juxtaposition to the nonsense of the main plot, of the main actors. A genius, a savant, is a savant, is a genius, precisely because he/she is different from the rest of the world. In other words. *monogatari works as anime so that the backgrounds are just not there; Zaregoto would work as live action so that the backgrounds are just there.
This can all be done with an anime as well. It doesn't have to have to same stylistic choices as Monogatari, hell the anime wouldn't necessarily need to be animated by SHAFT.
And while the character designs could be adjusted to fit a live action adaptation, it still wouldn't look nearly as good as an anime.
Oh, yeah, of course, but in my own viewpoint anime'd be a needless waste of resources. There are some thing anime does better than live action, and normal background isn't one of them.
If I wanted a Tasogare Otome style background, then anime.
Anyway, I am not even sure what part of the character designs need to be adapted when it comes to live action. Everything but the artstyle can be replicated 1:1, iirc.
People with blue hair would look awful and extremely unnatural in a live action adaptation, and other unnatural hair colors for that matter.
