00 S2s contract ended during the last quarter of the first season. Trailblazer, age, and g reco are out. Gundam thunderbolt...I'm not sure about. It may be tied up in some sort of publishing thing since it's currently ongoing. And exia R2 was the base of exia amazing and dark matter already, so don't expect another custom exia.

Regular exia most likely didn't show up beyond the figure appearance because they were going to give it a big appearance with the exia amazing at the end.

Nu and sazabi got new MG ver.Kas about a year apart (The big december release for each their respective year). Geara doga also got a MG last year. There was no new jegan MG.

And nothing from CCA got a new 1/144 model, which is what BF primarily promotes.

Story summary:

Seven years have passed since Sei Iori won the 7th Gunpla Battle Championship World Tournament. The Gunpla Battle Championship is now run by Yajima Trading. With new rules and battle modes, the game's popularity has become even more widespread.

However, the Seiho Academy that Sei Iori once attended has failed to catch onto the trend. The only member of the school's Gunpla Battle Club is its president, middle-schooler Fumina Hoshino. Currently there is no way the club can participate in the middle an high-school division of the upcoming All-Japan Gunpla Battle Championship, where players fight in teams of three.

Then Fumina meets a new transfer student. He is Sekai Kamiki, a young martial artist who has been traveling with his master. Together with a young Gunpla builder named Yuuma Kousaka, they finally have three members for their team.

The character descriptions and mechanics can be found on the official gundaminfo site as usual. Seems like it's gonna be a fun ride again.

This must surely be the most fappable Gundam entry ever. Kinda of amusing too that's it's also a kid's show.

She apparently participated in the tournament before (I don't she made it to world level though) and her "Winning Gundam" is supposed to have a bunch of SD like gimmicks including the ability to swap or reconfigure its parts. So she should be pretty good.

"Lightning gundam" by China's brother is supposed to have swappable back mounted equipment and is a range attacker, so expect rifles.

There is also a prototype of a Custom GM powered floating around along with a weapons booster for it that looks like it will be appearing in the show. There's no official mechanics page for it yet though and there is currently some argument over whether it's called GM Powered "Guardian" or "Cardigan". We'll have to wait until either they show off its boxart or update the official site before we get a official verdict on the name.

I don't understand why they changed MCs. We ended S1 right when Sei was ready to have some serious development to his own character, and Reiji's departure.

Seems unnecessary.

There wasn't much left to do with the current characters. At the end he got his confidence and showed he was a strong fighter (As well as god tier builder), Reiji won and went home happy, Aila got a home, Nils got his particle research, etc.

Their story was over and there wasn't much to add onto it without seeming like they were milking the characters. This way we get a fresh start.

Not exactly. The academy is broken into middle and highschool sections. Yuki was president of the highschools gunpla club. During the first season, the middle school had no gunpla club, which is why Sei joined the art club. She either founded it herself or is the last member of a newly formed one since the first season.
