Can we have a Type-Moon thread?
I'm listening to the Kara no Kyoukai OST for the first time without visual accompaniment and its beautiful.
Because Nasu typed it on the moon.
>Editor: I heard that Nasu thought up the name "TYPE-MOON," but what does it mean?
>Nasu: Well...nothing, really. (Laughs) When we had to think up a name, we started throwing out really stupid names to one another, and just couldn't come up with a good one. At that time, the story. I was working on had a hidden character in it called "Type Moon." We thought that was perfect, so we decided to make that our circle's name. It took five seconds. (Laughs) We thought that we were only going to use this circle to make ?Tsukihime, so we didn't really worry that much about it. Everyone just kept thinking up such stupid names, there was no other way for us to decide. Names like "Funky Sun." I figured TYPE-MOON would be simple and easy to remember, and even a bit pretty.
You should play Melty Blood. Its every TM fan's wet dream (aside from Carnival Phantasm).
Tsukihime VN> Plus Disc > Kagatsu Tohya > MB ReACT> KNK>FS/N VN(true end unlocked)>F/Z>Fate Hollow Ataraxia>Fate Illya>Carnival Phantasm
Is the correct order right?
For someone getting into the Nasuverse, I'd recommend reading F/SN first, KnK directly after and Tsukihime after it, then you can start reading the fandiscs, MB, sequels and spin-offs. F/SN gives you a nice introduction to the Nasuverse concepts, the 5th movie of KnK is much more enjoyable after F/SN too. Tsukihime expands upon everything KnK introduced and adds more intricate uses for the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception
The movies are awesome, especially the 5th one, I'd go as far as say that Paradox Spiral is the best thing Nasu's done.
Don't listen to this guy, watch them in release order.
Ryougi Shiki has the best blush in the whole nasu-verse.
Prove me wrong.
I really want them just to have both as alternate costumes. I like my long skirt Arc.
What do anons think about Battle Moon Wars? The character attacks are pretty damn awesome.
My only complain about Paradox Spiral is that they didn't animate the part where Cornelius throws a huge ass fire spell at Touko and she uses it to light her cigarette, otherwise it's perfect.
I'm disappointed in general about Cornelius' character
I wanted him to see some actual action beyond getting eaten, he's supposedly one of the strongest human mages in the world but gets wrecked with no screentime
Yeah, I don't think watching them in their chronological order is any good.
It'd be like watching Suzumiya Haruhi is chronological order rather than televised. It's gonna mess with the suspense progress.
The KnK OST is my favorite Kajiura soundtrack and one of my soundtracks overall. Thematic development across the soundtrack for one film is nice and all, but when it's across 7 it's truly out of the ordinary.
I can't prove you wrong because you're absolutely correct
The first half of MF definitely dragged a bit, but the last scene redeemed it all for me. That ending was a perfect way of tying it back to the start.
I teared up at singin' in the rain
Who is the best TYPE-MOON boy and why is it Gil with Achah as a close second?
"...and nothing heart" original music in the first movie that played during the first rooftop scene made me tear up because how much I like Melty Blood back then, including the OSTs.
I also teared up...and it was the first contact I made with TM or Yuki.
