Seems mostly fine. 32GB is probably overkill for SW unless you're making massive assemblies, in which case your GPU would probably give out first, speaking of which, you'd probably want the newer P4000 and not the M. Alternatively, Nvidia recently "unlocked" Titan Xp drivers to work as well as Quadro ones in content creation apps, so you can try your hand at that, you might get massive performance for the price.
Also, I'm generally against the use of CLCs in workstations or any system that you might expect to run for extended periods of time, for a small chip like the 7700K a big Noctua or Thermalright LeMacho Grand will do as good or better job and still work passively even should the fan fail.
Try to avoid using spinning disks in the system, and if you do, then make sure they don't sleep after time, otherwise things will be slow.

This is SolidWorks and not Max or Maya, CAD/CAM applications tend to be a lot more picky about GPUs and will strightup lock certain features off if you don't have the right hardware, particularly where simulations are concerned. Not that you'd even want to run a simulation that means anything unless all the RAM in your system was ECC, even the one in your GPU.

SW only cares about clock speed, so the 7700K is actually the optimal choice. You do lose out on some sim/rendering performance, but if you go with a 6/8/10-core CPU you then lose out on general performance.
You'll be able to have your cake and eat it too should Intel make a 6-core 8600K or something.

Hey guys, I need to get into SolidWorks but the problem is getting a copy. I found some torrents but the one's I found say that they aren't properly cracked and the company will find out. Does anyone know how I can get it without paying? I need it for practice so I can learn more about parts modeling

You probably saw the benchmarks by now, it's an utter monster for rendering. 3000+CB was the realm of 5-figure dual-chip workstations just a couple years ago, now yours for $1000. Throw on a monster cooler for it and maybe OC to a 3,400 score, that's like 3.5x faster than a 7700K.

But since you're asking this in a SolidWorks thread, be cautioned that many CAD and modeling environments in general tend to be poorly threaded and favor clock speed, so where modeling dense geometry is concerned, a faster CPU is better than a highly threaded one. So, keeping to SW for example, going from a 7700K to a 7900X nets you around 50% faster renders and 30% faster simulations at a 20% reduction to general performance for 4x the price.

I'm not sure what solid works leverages most..single thread performance or mutithread. If multithreading is a big deal I would recommend checking out some older 1366 boards or even some x79 boards. They are not that cheap supprisingly but you cN find some dual socket Xeon ones sometimes. Then on ebay they have a constant sea of 6 core or even 8 core Xeons for very cheap. I saw a pair of 8 core Xeons sell for £150 the other week and that's for 2 of them. That kinda setup would crush the i7 in mutithreaded situations but definitely not in single threaded ones...food for thought.
