r8?
Entirely made in Cinema 4D
As with most of the things made by people of your generation, it's boring, uninspired and depressing.

Well, sorta the mental state i was in at that time so make sense.
This better?
Ill just dump some pictures i've made
>>569029
I agree with both, thanks!
Not happy with this render, but it takes forever to render.

wow man this looks awesome!!!
kinda has retro feel to it, like from early 2000's agressive sci-fi shooters )) Unreal Tournament to be speciffic
>>569038
Thanks man!
This is before i textured most of it.
>>569035
Look at the histogram of your pictures after you've rendered them. Also, for exteriors you should get an HDR sky texture and set it up to double as a light source.
>>569040
Ill definitely look into that, thanks!
The shading on the metal is completely wrong. Does C4D have PBR shaders?
>>569050
Not sure mate, I'm just an amateur
>>569051
Also I'm pretty impressed by my lightning in this render, is it decent or?
>>569039
I'm not the same anon but I'm a newbie when it comes to Cinema 4D and I just got it. Is there any tips you can give? This is seriously amazing to me.
>>569053
Just try making something large, something where small mistakes are hard to find with an amateurs eyes.
I first tried to make small things thinking it was easier. It really is not.
This is one of my first "real" renders. I was SO proud of it.
If you need help you can add me on skype - Topstabilitet

Basically metal should have 0% diffuse, it should be controlled by specular amount and roughness. PBR shaders should have specular and reflection linked together if not they need to match.

I'm here to judge you for crimes against Computer Graphics. Please don't infect OP with your metallic AIDS.
>>569060
Small Chuckle, thanks.
>>569058>
What about the lightning in this one? >569051
>>569039
this actually looks better than the textured version. those textures were godawful
>>568993
Do yourself a favor and ditch C4d's internal render for a better one. Doesn't matter which one, V-ray, Arnold, Redshift, Corona are all better than the internal.
>>569010
You are the worst kind of shitposter. Kys.
>>569060
I like this a lot, reminds me of a level in a 90s/early 2000s FPS.
>>568993
grerat design, but the metal materials looks... definitely not metal. it looks like relly old renders, before PBR were a thing.
If you are not already using physical renderer, switch to it.
Study PBR in cinema, you can create most of the material in the reflectance channel (if you are using R16 or newer - if not then upgrade to newer version). Go physical way - every material is either metal (GGX channel in reflectance) or non-metal (collor channel, diffuse models in reflectance...), there is nothing in between. rust/color are nonmetal layers on top of metal.
upgrade your materials and then it wil look 200% better

Don't tell him to use that shit renderer when he could use something actually decent. Physical Render is even worse than cycles while being 10 times slower.
>>569112
I'm pretty sure it's duke nukem
>>569114
>>569063
I will definitely work on my texturing, Thanks!
>>569089
Im just a poor student and from what i've seen they're pretty expensive yes?
> Think i rendered this in the physical, but not sure.
>>569137
I use Corona for C4D and it's free in alpha right now, but still very capable. It's absolutely brilliant for photoreal interior scenes.
>>569154
My copy of C4D might not be legit, still possible to get?
>>569160
If you don't have a legit copy of C4d, why do you care if those other renderers are expensive, C4d is expensive too, and yet you have it...why not have the other renderer too?
the answer to your question is yes btw.
