Her sword shattered, which is why there's a chunk of it floating next to her left thigh. They're fragile but interchangable razor blades that the characters regularly swap out mid-fight. Hello IMT first time requester here
I'd like the following 2 edits to be made to the image please:
-remove the deviantart watermark (its below the box that they're sitting on)
-add in the text "Justin Ray's Music" in some fancy cursive elegant calligraphy font of your choosing, as long as its legible I guess. Would it be possible to remove the dancer, her sparkles, and the butterflies from this? It's nice as it is, but I think I'd like it more if the image were just of the glowing waves, the cityscape, and the sky.

I understand that the shimmer on the water wouldn't make much sense without the dancer there as the light source, but I kind of don't mind that. I want the shimmer on the water to be preserved in spite of her absence, if that's alright.

Sometimes it's possible to extend an image.
Sometimes though that would require a lot of re-drawing. Depending on the image, it might not be easy or practical.

Yes, cropping feels wrong. Most of us try to avoid it, if possible. If an image MUST be cropped, we try to leave a pleasing composition and retain the most important parts.

Images suffer from UPscaling. Downscales generally look fine to the eye.
Yes, you are losing pixels but if you have a 1920x1080 monitor, those will be lost anyway and a downscale in Photoshop is usually better than the algorithm Windows uses to resize an image for your screen.

Yours is pretty good.
If you still want advice, after selecting the foreground object, feather the edge 1 pixel before cutting it to a new layer.
Drop a contrasting color layer in back so you can see flaws.
Zoom in and scroll around the boundary.
Her hairline is a bit angular and of irregular thickness above her right ear.
Narrow wedges where areas overlap tend not to be cut properly.
You have to look at the little circles and clear them with a 1-pixel diameter eraser.
Hope this is what you were asking for.

Personally, I use Corel Photopaint/CorelDraw.
Not free, but you buy it, own it, and aren't charged monthly.
