If anything walkfags have the most to complain about with the new gym system, it does anything but encourage walking. It encourages people to sit down for 20 minutes to take down a gym and then spend the next 2 hours babying it or stealing it back and forth from some other autist. In the old system casuals either saw a level 3 gym and took the 5 minutes to beat it, get 10 coins and walked the rest of the day, or saw a level 10 gym and said "lol nope".

Hanke sucks the game of anything worth while to caught and only puts them during events,I haven't seen so much as a snorlax in months outside of events and egg hatches in my neighbourhood. Most of my bros are from before the Halloween event fully evolved mons that were good enough to power up which I found weird.

The under attack message happens one of two ways:
1. The Gym was just taken
2. A Pokemon gets knocked out of the gym
If you're stuck fighting the gym without knocking any one because someone keeps healing it up then it can buy enough time for the timer on the under attack message to run out. Easiest way to be annoying is to wait until the gym's blissey is low and then giving it a golden razz berry. You can feed 10 berries within like an hour, so you can pretty much stall fucking forever as long as you have golden razzes.

Pretty much, that seems to be the most efficient way to work this system now.
It doesn't help that nearly every feature of the new gyms has at least one way in which it can glitch or error out (gym battles rubberbanding HP unless you restart after every battle, gym colours not always updating after being taken over by another team, Pokémon sometimes getting stuck in limbo when they are assigned to a gym, etc.). I wasn't expecting the new system to be perfect, but this is just horrendous.

Not going out of my way too much since update, like holding gyms out in the mountains and mountain type parks near my city. Maybe that's a good thing, I've been forced to settle for the 50 coins now lol not bad seeing after a while and having most items, dosent really matter how many coins you have, they will eventually add up. I used a TM on my Alakazam a couple weeks ago and forgot Future Sight for Shadow Ball.... JUST

The timer on the pokemon battles are fucking retarded.
I mean on a raid yeah I get it.
But how the fuck am I supposed to take down a fucking 3000 cp blissey with only 2 minutes or something.

I caught a raid boss Alakazam with C/FB over 80% and I transferred it.

Done 10 raids (three lvl 1s, three lvl 2s, three lvl 3s and one lvl 4) with just one fast TM.

Have heaps of other charge moves that need changing before this and it probably be changed to SB anyway.

Either way though, if Legendaries are introduced via raids its going to be a nightmare trying to get to them.

Every remaining player will rush the location - imagine how many carfags would cause accidents just to get to the raid in time.

Every walker is fucked completely unless they have a quick taxi service and good social media contacts.

Plus dont expect to just catch the legendary without someone trying to rob your phone to sell it on Ebay, especially if people are unsure how many chances they will get to catch Legendaries in future.

B) No way they'll make legendaries that rare, to the point of crowding. That's an assumption you have no evidence to back up, and I don't need proof it isn't going to happen like that, I'm not saying they won't be rare, but that level of rarity is similar to saying legendaries will only be available at events like PokeFest.

Chaos and impossibility aren't the same, and I think niantic will make the chances to catch legendaries both accessible to the players and profitable to themselves (possibly make legendary raid passes buyable)

This would be great, two or three days is an excellent turnover for updating the raids.

Except we could get a worldwide forced update the evening before Chicago Fest with legendaries being released starting on the next day.

We cannot really rely on trackers to be updated so the only way to be sure you spot it in time is if you have PoGo fans covering virtually all the gyms in a city/area that you happen to be in. Which is difficult to do when the game is slowly stagnating due to the reduced coin limit and the lack of incentives currently to play - only chance to meet other players is sheer luck or at a raid if they are still doing those.

These would need to be trustworthy fans who would tell you instead of just getting the legendary and rubbing it in everyone elses face.

We actually do hav evidence they intend for crowding, thats primarily why they turned more Pokestops into gyms so that they would space things out a bit more. The initial trailer also implies one of the original ideas was to fill up Times Square for a Mewtwo event - so its clear they wanted a large crowd in order to get it noticed and potentially promote Pokemon Go by a mass event.

I would not be too suprised if they end up doing a 'every gym is a legendary raid' situation where you can access a raid battle with that specific legendary from any gym - and it'd just be a matter of finding a gym with other players nearby so that you can take it down when ready. If Niantic were smart.

Niantic have added a badge into the game for Legendaries, unlike most badges it's highest tier is for 10 Legendary raids. Either they are very rare, or you can only ever catch 1 of that type of Pokemon.

I never mentioned they would put legendaries behind events, i mentioned they would hope the crowd would be viewed as a 'mass event'. If the news reported that there were hundreds of PoGo players surrounding the Eiffel Tower all brought together by the shared love for the game - then it'd be a great way to promote PoGo and Pokemon.
