The problem with the way Matsui is writing the battles in SM is that she includes an absurd amount of commentary/explanations from the spectators, which interrupts the flow and intensity of the fight, and makes them very slow paced and unimpressive.

Yeah, this has been present in the other series too, but not to this extent. Seems like as long as Matsui is writing the battles, they will be mediocre.

Abareru-kun was really just some dude that Ash was battling with Rockruff. I assume that he's a student at the school though so we could see him again. As for Sophocles we got to meet his parents who are pretty normal and we got to see inside his lab. The Tapu Koko battle was pretty cool though since he actually fought back some this time. It ended in a bit of a throwback to the XY series.

As for April 6th, I'm honestly significantly less hype knowing it's Lele compared to what I thought was Ho-oh before. I'm more interested to see what happens to Old Yeller and Litten.

I think you guys' opinions are shit, but you should know who you're talking to there.

Misty/Brock were never designed to be anything more than one and done characters with the Kanto arc. It's only because the anime got so popular and became a long running series that it became obvious Misty/Brock never had any long term roles in the show past the first arc.

I think the best way to describe Misty/Brock is, at least after the original Kanto season, they weren't really in the anime to be actual characters. The writers clearly had no plans to develop them or give them any screentime beyond the odd filler episode here and there.

So, by this point in the anime it's safe to say that Mallow is supposed to be the fanservice girl of the series.

Compared to Lana and Lillie, Mallow has been consistently drawn with breasts, a curvy waist, and long slim legs.

Lillie had more service during the beach episode, but Mallow has been mainly given much more emphasis on her curves then the other girls.
