After Serena's and Ash's divorce Ash will call Lillie again because he needs some distraction during the draining custody battle over their son. This is when Lillie will finally win da Ash.

I don't know why, but it still bugs me Misty's probably forever going to be in the most amount of episodes of all the main girls at 275 episodes. The Misty fans always say that when they try to claim how important she was that she lasted the longest, even if her character didn't do much overall and she's been gone forever.

It's really mind blowing when you realize Serena was only in about 143 eps compared to Misty's 275+ cameos. Misty is in literally double the amount of episodes Serena was. I remember being pissed when May only made it to 191 episodes by the end of AG, since at the time I thought she'd last as long as Misty.

What Rowlet needs is some spotlight in some night time episodes, I'm sure in the future we'll have them to show off how capable Rowlet is at times. I was trying to give it a chance and say it was merely trying to wake up Rowlet due to it being a sleepyhead, but even Popplio acted a bit too much for that alone. I really like Popplio in the series, but this episode makes Popplio look bad in the sense that it was indeed previously bullied. When you compare all three, you'd assume Litten to be the "bully" one, not Popplio.

We're in middle of Snowbelle arc, that is longer, better and generally more feelsy than what we got.
And Serena's loss in Master Class was much, much more narrower than 3:2 ratio
and Clemont is in long range relationship with Apple-chan

Are any Serena fans upset she had such a short run in the anime? She was only around for 3 years and 142 episodes, the same length as Iris was. A real shame.

In retrospect May and Dawn were really lucky to last 4 years and nearly 200 episodes. Now it seems like 3 year gens are the new norm. A real shame Serena didn't last as long as they did.

Had XY never happened then I'd agree it seems like the double whammy of BW and SM meant the anime was "done" in the sense that it's just going to have silly reboots every saga. But XY came after BW almost feeling like an attempt to get the show back on track, and now that's all gone.
