I did it and I don't regret it. Only with RMLs, but yes. I get a ton of mileage from my Level 15 Emolga SL4.

This is probably the worst I've done in a competition. 4 runs of M-Ttar (max, fully candied), Lando-T (max, RT 4), Suicune (RML max, BS+ 2) and Politoed (max, CC 3) and the best I got was 71k. I won't even make 3rd tier.

If you manage to beat Magikarp or Gyrados, it's worth the great balls. 1% (iirc) encounter rate is no joke.

Groudon and Kyogre aren't the hardest SP stages ever, give it 1 or 2 trial runs and decide if you need items to beat them.

As for Cloyster.. you'll want Zekrom to clear it fuss-free, or pray to rng if you don't have it for now. Red Gyrados and Glalie are the real prizes here, don't worry too much about the rest

Well right now I'm grinding on Kyogre for the orb things and I'm packing M-Ampharos, Battery Jesus (Zapdos), Tropius, and Dedenne for its Mega Boost

Here's how I'm playing it. You'll need to focus on getting M-Amp fast because whether it uses blocks or ice sheets, Kyogre's disruptions will start piling up fast and make the stage a headache. Once you've got it, the mega effects will tear through the ice and blocks and hopefully drop in additional combos. That being said, if you see a good Zapdos chain, the Power of 4 will help too.

So I caught Kyogre first try with a 22% and groudon first try also with a supercatch 75%. However the fucking Pidove doesnt wanna be caught and is the only mon that appears.

Any tips for Gyarados or Wailord? I wanna take a small break from the safari.

I halfway didn't even recognize the game it had changed so much. Most of this stuff I don't even know what it does because the game decides not to explain it to you until you get one, without telling you how to get it

MSU: Mega Speed-Up (Candy) - Give one to a Pokemon that can megavolve and it will take one less icon to megaevolve. Who to candy? Current List: Gengar, Rayquaza, Mewtwo-Y, Shiny-Gary, Garchomp, Ampharos, etc
RML: Raise Max Level - Certain mons can have their level raised about MAX, from 3 to 10. Each additional level raises their BP by 2 (or sometimes 3 if they can only take 3? The list of recommended mons goes something like: Machamp (why in a sec) Mewtwo, Scyther, Charizard, Yveltal (why in a sec), Raikou, Suicune, Entei, Lucario, Zoroak etc (possible errors this is off the top of my head)
SS: Skill Swapper - changes the skill a mon has. Remember Machamp? He can now get Risk-Taker. You want this (more in a sec). List of mons to skill swap: Machamp to RT, Emboar to RT, Ho-oh to Pyre, Yveltal to Block Smash+, Raikou to Barrier Bash, Suicune to Block Smash, Ampharos to Megaboost, Mewtwo to Po4+, etc
SB - Skill Booster: abilities now have levels. The higher the level, the higher the activation rate of abilities or attack (depends on ability) Levels take a certain amount of boost to increase, depending on ability, but like levels increases with level. PSB are Personal skill boosters - can be dropped by a mon for itself specifically on certain stages, raises Skill Level by 1. Small boosters raise by 3, Medium by 10? Large by 30? Could be wrong. Back to Machamp, it has Risk-Taker. Risk-Taker applies a multiplier to damage randomly. Between 0.5 and 2 at level or something. Why boost this? Because raising it changes the multiplier. At MAX Skill Level it boosts the damage between 0.75 and 3. Which is huge, especially on level 20/20 (remember RMLs). Abilities to Skill Boost: (damage) Risk-Taker, Relentless, (activation) Sleep Charm, Whirlpool, Mind Zap

By default, a pokémon's skill is at level 1, that's what the orange dot means.

There's a bar below, which is kinda like an exp bar. When completed, your skill gains a level. You need to collect skill boosters in order to complete the bar. You get them in several ways: as a reward for completing some mission, by defeating the special Eevee on Sundays, by grinding them on the special stages (like the one from Kyogre, you can see on the info box that it says it may drop a PSB -- personal skill booster) or when GS feels like giving them for free.

Increasing a skill's level can mean that its activation rate goes up (Sleep Charm, for instance), or that the damage done is greater (Risk-Taker). There's a link on the OP named "useful links". Check that. In there, there's a pdf document titled abilitysheetnew.pdf

That table lists every ability on the game, the activation rates or the damage multiplier, and how many psbs you need (read the * clarification at the bottom)

Is the Kingdra stage still here? You can try grinding some psbs there, anon, and see how it works. You only need two to get Whirlpool to SL2, and 9 to get it to SL3. It's a good ability, you should do it, and take it to SL5 if possible (70 psbs).

Oh, and your Pokés with Barrier Bash+ / Block Smash + / Rock Break + / Eject + should have their abilities on SL2 to get their activation rates to 60% on a 3-match. More than that is a waste, getting them to SL3 is not necessary.

Sleep Charm, Whirlpool and Mind-Zap ideally should be at SL5, as well as Risk-Taker, but SL3 is a good stopping point if you don't want to grind or use your cookies.

They give you ten "points", but they don't raise the level. You need a certain amount of PSB to advance a level. Each PSB is one point. A Small Cookie gives you the same amount as 3 PSBs, a Medium one 10, and a Large one 30.

1. Better stop playing if you dont like grinding.
2. Get used to grinding a lot.
3. Grind coins on regular Meowth (stage 37). Watch some youtube videos to know how to do it.
4. Grind EXP on Ampharos (stage 130).
5. It's better to grind coins for items in order to beat a stage instead of grinding EXP.
6. Nontheless, its quite easy to get a mon to level 5 (needs only like 8-10 hearts). After that its only if you reached end game or for competitions.
7. Get to M-Mewtwo asap. Don't bother catching the shitmons inbetween or s-ranking shit.
8. Get Lucario and Absol asap (EX Stage 2) and their mega stone (Mission card 2 and 10). You want to do this before fighting M-Mawile and M-Gengar respectively..
9. Get Gengar asap. Yes, its catch rate sucks. Get used to low catch rates and bullshit stages.
10. Events are nice to early get strong mons. For example the likes of Landorus-T, Reshiram, Zekrom, Shaymin are essential to beat itemless bullshit stages.
11. Once you hit Roseus Center the real "fun" of the game begins. Its the most bullshit area so far in the game.
12. Do not waste jewels on anything but to unlock 3 additional runs for Sunday Meowth
13. Only use M-Mewtwo Y with 3 mega boosters for this Meowth. Buy additional +5 turns. But no Mega start. Use Gengar + whatever you have with the ability "Quirky" while you get Mewtwo.
14. Give your first Mega Speed Up to Gengar. This will reduce the neccessary matches from 4 to 3 turns (3match, 3match, 4match instead of 4 3matches or something similar)
15. When there is a 3-mon stage use Gengar. No exceptions. Even if its NVE.

16. All in all, M-Gengar is the best mega there is. Only exception if there are a lot of rock/block disruptions.
17. After candying M-Gengar you should focus on MMY (in order to get your mega faster for Sunday Meowth)
18. After that its gonna take you a long time to get 20 candies for M-fug
19. Don't waste any resources on normal types.
20. Don't waste your resources to get to the last levels of escalations.
21. Don't waste your resources on unnecessary event mons.
22. Don't waste your resources unnecessary psb stages.
23. Don't waste your skill cookies on unnecessary abilities.
24. If possible, try to clear a few easy mission cards for a few items. But do not waste too many resources into this.
25. Skill Swap asap: Raikou, Suicune and Yvetal. Everything after that is not really necessary.
26. Save unto RML as long as possible. Once your RML mon hits lv 10 give it one. Grind it till lv11 and then give it another, and so on.
27. Even if you suck, use your chance to participate in the current competition to get at least some price, every resource is valuable.
28. ALWAYS use EXP+ on Saturday Victini. You may also use it for Sunday Eevee.

Well /shuffle/, I just downloaded and tried the new duel game and it really sucks (for now at least) so we should be safe.

It's laggy as fuck and there's a gacha system that encourages rerolling and whaling like any other gacha game. GS seems like a saint compared to whoever made pokemon duel.

So /shuffle/, I am having a bit of a trouble with Gyarados staying on the ball, any tips? I am using M-Ampharos, Zapdos, SS Raikou and Chespin and I can beat it consistently but don't seem to get more than a faint %. I guess we expect a M-Gyarados competition next week or soon enough so I wanted to get done with this shit as quick and cheaply as possible.

Also haven't seen W-Glalie yet on the safari and the two winking mons are the only ones left to catch. Please GS have mercy.

Started to grind Zoroark since I have nothing else to do now (fuck those remaining escalation levels).

Is there a better team for itemless grinding than M-Camerupt/Machamp/Pinsir/Forretress? Ttar is too slow and Forretress helps with rocks sometimes.
