Do you think they dismiss Masuda for not lying?
>>33242651
He and his team are laughing at us.
>>33242651
The only good thing about Masuda is that he's honest.
post yfw there are no new Alolan forms in USUM
What do you really want to see from Pokémon Switch?
What do you really not want to see?
And which is more likely?
>>33242467
>What do you really want to see from Pokémon Switch?
A new region, the biggest region, great graphics, great gameplay, new mechanics(one that works for every pokemon), good new pokemon, post game
>What do you really not want to see?
Voice acting and bad starter final evos
>And which is more likely?
Pokemon actually move when they attack instead of teleporting. New region
>>33242467
>What do you really want to see from Pokémon Switch?
Any region but Kanto
>What do you really not want to see?
Kanto
>And which is more likely?
Kanto
>Size-accurate models
>evolution mid-battle
>more robust settings, specifically the ability to turn off Amie/Refresh bonuses
>Difficulty options
>more than 100 new mons
>the inclusion of new Megas, regional forms, and exclusive Z-moves for mons that need them
>more QOL, such as skippable cutscenes and the continuation of Ride mons in some form
>interesting region that uses mons not commonly seen rather than kanto#025 for the umptillionth time
>Stop teleporting me to pkmn centers
>learn how to properly use good game design and cluing the player in via indirect communication, not just guesswork and someone mentioning it 20 minutes ago
>an actual postgame that isn't just "go through this battle tower lol" like finding the sages in BW1 for example or including totem battles as midgame or postgame optional ways to obtain Z-crystals
I posted this in another thread before, but this is basically my wishlist. I feel like I'll get none of them, though.
Does that mean ultra sun and moon
diamond and pearl remakes are directed by someone else
>>33242359
I hope so. I hope that regional forms and Pokéride help the region, and that in gen 8 the speed of battles increases to the point where I can consider Sinnoh more for its subjective merits more than its objective issues.
>>33242372
true sinnoh hm's suckk
>>33242359
I really hope Ohmori doesn't ruin another remake
I'm bored so I made a team of 6 random fully-evolved pokemon on randompokemon.com and made a showdown team with them
It would be cool if there could be a tournament/title defense of sorts, where people battled against one another with randomly-generated teams. So I think I'm going to start one of those
I'm brodius on Showderp; someone make a random team and challenge me. Whoever wins is the next champ
>showderp
fuck I spend too much time on this dumb board
you know what the hell I mean

how would you know whether your opponent's team was actually randomly generated or not?
Incineroar is a pretty awesome Pokemon senpai.

HAHA I GET IT BECAUSE THE EXACT OPPOSITE IS TRUE!
THE OP OF THIS THREAD IS TRYING TO BAIT THE PEOPLE OF THIS BOARD INTO REPLYING TO HIS SHITTY BAIT THREAD. NOW THAT IS AN ORIGNAL JOKE IF I EVER HEARD ONE!
Why, /vp/? Why do you do it? What are you hoping for? Why you do keep playing them? Do you believe you’re waiting for something? Can you tell me what it is? Do you even know? Is it memories? Or ? Perhaps you refuse to face the harsh reality that you're not a kid anymore? Yes? No? Could it be for a dream? delusions, /vp/. Vagaries of perception. Deep inside you still believe and hope for Game Freak to set things right and deliver a true Pokemon game like the ones from the Game Boy and DS era, but deep inside you know that's still too much to ask for a bunch of hacks who openly refuse to put enough effort into their games. But here you are, still trying desperately to justify a purchase that is without meaning or purpose. You must be able to see it, /vp/. You must know it by now. You can’t win. It’s pointless to keep playing them. So why, /vp/? Why? Why do you persist?
>>33242036
Why? Because I enjoy the games.
>Out of context.
Masuda and Ohmori were watching some of the comments/articles about no hype.
That's why they are telling THEM not to get their expectations up too high
Stop being a faggot op
Inb4 fag naw I have switch already with zelda and splatoon
I'm wondering why do people want this game to be rushed as soon as possible even if the game was finish developing in giving
Game freak an extra year to polish things would be great.
Why so impatient? Is Pokemon the only game you play?
>>33241915
Regardless of whether you want it or not there are several reason why it would be reasonable to expect it then.
1.) Most importantly, Game Freak had ads up for a graphic design position which is set to end early 2018. I work for a game development company but if you don't know, it's not uncommon for studios to hire extra help and let them go when the project is done. This means they are expecting the Switch game(s) to be near completion sometime early next year.
2.) Which makes sense because they were likely one of the first ones to get a dev kit. Since they started talking about it in 2015, they probably had it then.
3.) Nintendo has them listed as planned for 2018 or later in their last earnings report. Planned for next year but might be delayed, in other words.
4.) Even if they didn't start working on it then, they would've been before S/M released if you're thinking otherwise. US/UM would be done by a side bunch, not the main cast so it's not like they've only had a year.
5.) There is evidence in the games that S/M were intended to be for the Switch (for example, the Dex has always been based on the system and there are no wide one screen, touch screen tablets in the 3DS family but that's exactly what the Switch is) meaning they already likely have at least some Switch dev understanding under their belt (before Nintendo likely had them rush out a back port for the 3DS instead out of paranoia that the Switch wouldn't take off meaning they wanted something to fall back on) so a new game for them shouldn't take as long.
6.) Gen 7 aren't that great. Almost no QoL improvements compared to other Gens, but plenty of removals and changes like they're wont to do recently that make them worse in terms of game play. And, this is not just an opinion. Game play is partially subjective but it is mostly objective and they have taken steps that make it worse in S/M objectively.
>>33242630
You do realize that the patterns never lie?
Gen 8 in 2019. The end.
>>33241915
In essence it's not so much about impatience, really, as it is wanting something that isn't heavily limited by the system it's on before you even get to the stupidity of the developers to impose further limitations.
Combined with hints it WILL be coming, like it or not.

But Incineroar is gay shit this should be a disgusting fat hairy bara and not a boring generic animu gijinka and if it's that than at least post the two meme ones

>Fairly often unstable server
>Can't use touch screen (kinda makes sense because the top screen isn't touch sensitive, but it's still pretty annoying)
>You are forced to use it if you want a Living Dex and breeding competitive mons
I don't mind paying the annual fee, but I don't like how they are handling it, with disconnections here and there. Thoughts, anons?
>>33241766
You shouldn't even have to pay for it. The amount of data they store is almost fucking nothing. Pokemon files are very, very small.
>>33241766
I only face server issues when a new game comes, it's fine most of the time. Point number 3 is also a non issue since you needed another system to do transfering around before, just paying the fee is cheaper and less time consuming.
A few complaints
1, needs more than just 100 boxes
2, RBY, GS(C?) should be directly compatible for storage and for sorting in-game (and shit, how about for Gen 4 and 5 too)
3, indication if a mon has already been sent to Gen VII or not, eg how it is to distinguish the scenario vice-versa
Pokemon has always been a game market solely to children. Todays interview proved this once again. Why can't you all move on?
It always has and always will be
People don't realize in Japanese culture as soon you hit 20-25 you become work slaves
Kids are the ones who play the games
>>33241734
Hey man, being good for kids doesn't necessarily mean it won't be fun for other people to play. Nintendo in general has been proving this for years.
>>33241748
So do you play with crayons too shitbag?
>He plays Pokemon for its single-player when he could be playing one of the hundreds of better single-player RPGs out there
Multiplayer is literally the only thing Pokemon has going for it. Everything else it does is outclasses by the likes of Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy.
There's a reason they don't put much effort into single-player anymore, they know that people just want to get through it so they can start breeding their competitive teams.
Shin Megami tensei (and to an extent, persona) do the single player monster catching rpg genre way better than Pokemon ever has.
>Dragon Quest
>Final Fantasy
Hurr.
How about you recommend an RPG with a large roster of characters. I can't vouch for everyone here, but I definitely play Pokemon because I like to fuck around with weird party combinations.
that's just your opinion m8
