>tfw training so many pokemon with perfect stats and good movesets
>realize they won't ever make it as far in the battle tree as your generic pseudo legendary / ub team
>give up trying
I now understand why people enjoyed playing formats such as UU
>>31675905
How they won't? Npc always play nu/ru shitomons or ou with improper set (scarf skarmory). 30 wins should be easy, before the ia starts countermatching you up so hard that it becomes bullshit.
>>31675945
for instance I love the shit out of lanturn, but it's 1). slow 2). its bulk is barely mentioning. In Super Singles I often encountered legendaries, no way poor lanturn can hold out against that
PU is arguably the most enjoyable format to play.
It has heck of a lot more team diversity and fun surprises since most people playing in that tier are probably like-minded karenfags.
One team you'll see a Mr. Mime core and the next you'll see Sudowoodo breaking out all the stunts.

She's probably a mulatto but it's still fitting.
>>31675807
You sure she's not pure black?
>>31675882
Pure black would be Lenora.
>sandcastles are illegal on most public Hawaiian beaches
>make a sandcastle pokemon

I'll have a Double Triple Bossy Deluxe on a raft, 4x4 animal style, extra shingles with a shimmy and a squeeze, light axle grease, make it cry, burn it, and let it swim.
Yeah
That's why it's ghost type
To be fair, Alola would likely also outlaw them so that Sandyghast and Palosand will have less chance to blend in and kill somebody
How do we fix it?
Ice just needs to resist fairy, that's all it takes.
>>31675412
Get rid of Rock and Steel weakness. It's mostly fixed.
>>31675412
Remove it from the franchise, that's how you fix Ice.
Is this the current second worst type in the series?
>>31675302
I don't imagine it could be worse than Grass, Rock, or Ice.
>>31675560
Rock and Ice are great offensive types. Grass, well you got me on that one. I'd say the three worst types would be Bug first, and then either Psychic or Grass afterwards.
It's now either dual type or bust. Just look at Lele and Lunala.
Basically, if someone at Gamefreak suffered a simultaneous stroke, ulcer, heart attack, and rectal prolapse and decided to put you in charge of pokemon typing and effectiveness, what changes would you make and what logic would you have for them?
My first thoughts are on Fairy and Dragon types.
>Dragons are apex creatures and masters of the physical forces 'lesser beasts' of the world. They are resistant to fire, ice, grass, electric, water, and ground type attacks, while being super effective against rock, flying, bug, ground, and poison
>However, dragons mastery over the physical leaves them resisted by Fairy, Ghosts, and Psychics while weak to fairy, dark, and other dragons.
>A powerful fighting warrior or steel will deal neutral damage.
>Fairies, meanwhile, are masters of the metaphysical and resist psychics, ghosts, dark, and other fairies while super effective against dragons, dark, fighting, and dragons
>However, faries are often embodiments or chained to the primordial forces, meaning their fairy attacks are resisted by Rock, Water, Grass, Steel, Poison, Ice, Ground, water, and Bugs and are easily brought low by steel, ice, fire, and electric types.
Or something like that.
> Fairies resist Dragon, not immune
> Dark is immune to Psychic but neutral against it
> Ghost neutral on Dark
> Poison SE on Water
Meta fixed.
>>31675209
Your ideas are bad and you should feel bad
>>31675352
Oh also
> Fairy Neutral on Fighting
> Ice SE against Bug, resists Rock.
GameFreak has decided to nuke their massive roster of pokemon. Only 151 may remain
ITT: Anon names one Pokemon at a time to save until we hit 151. Every other pokemon gets retconned out of existence never to be seen or heard from again.
Starting the thread with the mascot.

Maybe it won't be so bad without all the power creep.

>silvally is down in NU now
he's going to drop to PU isn't he
Poison Silvally is a great anti Tapu though.
And no one expects it.
>Trash like Mimikyu is in OU

The ladder continues to be shit

what planet are you from?
What is THE SLOWEST pokemon in the world?
>>31674557
At 5 speed Shuckle, Munchlax, and Pyukumuku are the slowest pokemon in the world
The slowest pokemon that isn't defensive and is fully evolved is Escalaviar at 20 speed
Slowpoke

It's vikavolt
For those who have questions on everything breeding and tips on how to figure it out themselves
For example,
Mamoswine what gives? It has high attack but lots of special moves I simply cannot figure out good moves and natures for it
Also not that it really matters personally I dont play competitive I like to just play the normal game with strong pokemon
>>31674413
Adamant to take advantage of it's massive Attack/coverage, unless go Jolly if you want to outpace certain Speed benchmarks.
Oblivious makes you immune to Taunt which works to be one of the best Sash Stealth Rock leads out there, As well as Endeavor to weaken a foe +Ice Shard to pick them off. Although Thick Fat gives you a resistance to Ice & cancels out your Fire weakness, just keep in mind Mamo only has mildly decent bulk to begin with.
Icicle Spear/Crash are strictly up to preference, as Spear has perfect accuracy but multi-hit moves can be unreliable power-wise. Crash on the other hand has constant power & can occasionally flinch but is 90% accurate.
Despite it's atrocious Special Attack, you can run Naive Nature with Freeze Dry for a surprise factor on bulky waters or 4x weak threats like Gyarados that think they can setup on you.
Other than that, Knock Off is a fantastic support move from ORAS tutors, but really it's just what you want it to do for your team.
>>31674433
Shit, read that after typing my whole thing out out.
Just go adamant & only take from the Spear/Crash paragraph then.

You know "Luna" means "moon" and "Sol" means "sun" in Latin right?
So someone going to start fapping or what?
>>31674445
Yes and?
Arceus is bright and radiant, why would you make it look so dark and edgy?
>>31674388
It can be a dark type.
Yes, fun but you have to go through a shitty story, which itself is hilarious as long as you don't take it seriously
>>31674415
>but you have to go through a shitty story
To be fair, that's to be expected of a pokemon game.
