Because I give no fucks about taboo surrounding hitscan and am autistically gening every gun in a random order. R-97 is the last SMG to gen before I concentrate on secondaries and Grenadiers. I honestly don't understand the mentality that Grenadiers are absurdly hard to use or something. I'm finding just as viable in aggressive-mobile based combat as much as SMGs. Granted, SMGs are still disgustingly accurate and there's still no real distinction between them and ARs.

small mod release: adds buttons to the titan selection screen used by LTS and FD to change your boost and pilot loadouts. it's otherwise currently completely impossible to change your boost during an LTS match and i hate it with the fury of a thousand suns, so this will fix that.
the boost button will show up in FD and you can change your equipped boost, but that obviously won't actually do anything in the game with no way to access it.
because of how this menu is laid out, the buttons will only show up after you select your titan and ready up. doesn't really matter functionally, but it's a little weird and i can't find a way around it right now.

By the power of engineering autismo bestowed upon me, I shall now theorize how the grapple could work with digital crayon doodles made in MS Paint.

When the grapple is launched, the secondary hooks are in a static "reeled" position as it flies towards its target, held in place by the pressure spike's spring system that keeps it pushed outward, as seen in the top part of the picture.

When the grapple hits something, counter force is applied to the pressure spike, pushing it back into the grapple's housing a few centimeters until it slides past the locking pins, preventing the spring from pushing it back out. As this happens, the lever system that connects the pressure spike to the slide rail levers that hold the secondary hooks also slides back, pushing the hooks in the opposite direction with enough force for them to puncture into whatever surface the grapple just hit, thus sticking it to the target, as seen in the second picture.

The volt is the only SMG that doesn't completely outclass every other gun in the game. It has kinda shitty DPS, but with virtually no recoil and spread. The hemlok is burst fire and kinda cancer. The G2 is VERY cancer, especially on console, even after the nerf. The flatline is flat out bad, getting nerfs it didn't deserve. Of the snipers the DMR is kinda easy, especially on PC. The double(triple)take really requires you to learn your lead to get any kills. The Kraber is VERY skill intensive, and needs plenty of practice. You said rifles, so I'll ignore explaining the others
