Learn to aim. His rivet single shot has no falloff, I can outsnipe Widow with it once warmed up.
His shotgun does a lot of damage as well on big guys.
Turret is good as well, makes for a nice distraction to snipe with.
It's nice if your team can help distract the enemy so they won't focus fire on your turret.

My only issue is when picking him for defense people usually think I'm throwing.

Golds don't matter, wins don't even matter for placements. The only important thing is how your stats with a character compare to the rest of the playerbase's stats with that character

If you have gold 6 elims and 40% accuracy as 76, you're heading straight to bronze (as those are bronze stats)

I'll agree with you on that. One minor update per month, 2 heroes per year, and 2 maps per year isn't enough to keep people in the game. Since they'll be recycling all the old events, they should be 'experimenting' with new game modes in the arcade to see what works and what doesn't. In my first game as Doomfist I punched a deflecting Genji into a wall and killed him. The weeb subsequently proceeded to cry for nerfs in the chat. If he had done his research before playing or actually tried out stuff on the PTR he would have known that Deflect couldn't save him. But he didn't do those things, and this is the average intelligence of Overwatch players.

Yes, he is. His ranged attack is supposed to be a quick finisher. His mobility is miles above Orisa's. If you can engage with him properly he has 300-400 HP and his primary method of attack is a oneshot on a 4 second cooldown. You're probably just using him like shit, Doomfist is not a 1v1 character, he is a brawler who gets 1-2 rapid kills when he dives in with his team and then snowballs to the teamwipe or dies. He's very all-in and engaged.

Orisa is just a slow shitter who dies.

You can hit them into practically anything and it's not like OW is a game where walls are scarce or there's lots of open fields. You are supposed to engage with the team and take advantage of the chaos your team is creating to snag quick kills. You can knock the enemy into walls surrounding the point, or crates, buildings, there's tons of stuff you can knock people into to kill them. You can kill them in hallways just by hitting them into the wall of the hallway at an angle.

Doomfist is not incredibly powerful but he's not total dogshit like you seem to believe. It sounds like you just want him to go 1v1 with everybody, that's not how he plays.
