Can someone tell me the secret on how to conquer this hell? Everything just requires me to go really fast, but my units just don't have the stats to keep it up. I've given up on trying to keep Tate's and Klein's armies from killing each other. Echidna is a suicidal bitch that runs away from Lalum. By the time I move Klein's slow-moving ass over and talk to Tate, cavalier reinforcements show up and destroy my run (especially the one with the Killer Lance and its fucking crits). My problem is everything falling apart around Turn 8, and I'm not really sure how to adjust my tactics.

Is echo shadow whatever worth looking into? Somehow I forgot it was even coming out... I own Awakening and all 3 paths of Fates and while I loved Awakening; Fates just came off as... I don't know how to describe it. Too disjointed I guess? I don't like the characters as much. Awakening I was super invested in the characters, even the ones I disliked. Most of Fates gives me an "eh" vibe. I didn't dislike it, it just didn't wow me in pretty much any way.

I know Echoes is pretty different from either of those games, but I'm hoping to save myself from another disappointment if possible.

There's really no great CC unit yet. Meric, Sophia and other kinda bulky mages can use it but I'd hold onto it for now.
Gordin and Leon are also decent choices but Brave Bow is their best weapon and that has bad 1 range utility.

I have 20k feathers, no idea what to use it on though.

Fuck chain challenge 11-12. My first team using all my numbers and dancers except Nino fails to clear 11-5, the second team without dancers just manages to get up until 12-3, and the 3rd team is left with only jobbers and wipes either on 12-3 or 12-4.

That's actually a good spread for her though, makes it easier to deal with enemy mages and goes well with her A skill, which combined with flier buffs should be more than enough speed to deal with shit. The recommended spread actually wants -Atk since Blade tomes are the usual recommendation for her, but -Def is probably fine since any bow she doesn't one shot is going to kill her anyways, and daggers are mostly harassing tools rather than a physical threat all their own.

She works well enough on my team as a physical tank even with a relatively neutral spread(+HP/-Res), I have yet to roll a good Cordelia though, and had enough spare Hinokas to give her Hone Fliers to help the one I'm actually using to kill shit even harder since it's a +Def/-HP. Hoping to eventually roll both a +Spd Catria to merge the one I'm using into and a bad IV Rody to get her a Firebreak Lance for uncounterable shenaigans. Cordelia I can get, Hinoka not as much. Catria's biggest boon though is that she can do a bit of everything. She's good at baiting, good at attacking and can even support a bit, even if she's not the absolute best at all three. I run her on a non-flier team and she's fantastic. Her only real weakness I'd say is not having access to a good weapon, a Slaying Lance needs to exist for her to really shine.

That might be a good idea for a +defense one to drop Ignis bombs on people. Mine is +attack -defense. Which leaves his defense still pretty high but his attack is great if I get the fireboost on him going as well.

He is a decent unit really though with some good utility. Plus Infantry Pulse is good and until a better Axe rolls around for him the Lilith one isn't comoletely awful.
