+Spd -def is probably best. Then +atk, -def. HP is probably the second best bane, then resistance. Honestly though, you can make just about any build work. For example a +def Corrin could learn close counter and vantage, get fortified by a flier, and then get tossed into infantry range to blow up everything. -atk doesn't hurt so bad because of blade tomes being overkill already. -spd hurts a little more but with fortify fliers and darting blow and or fury 3, it's still manageable.

Lancebreaker helps with fliers putting themselves on defensive tiles. Tomebreaker if you don't have anything that can take care of glass canons with no Def, but seeing Olwen's, Linde's and and Delthea's defenses even a red could damage them enough to let Reinhardt finish the joj without the need of Tomebreaker.

Blue mages are the only really dangerous blues though, and allow her to run 4 charge specials to nuke a second thing after dealing with them if they somehow survive her first hit. Green Tomebreaker is usually enough to deal with other green mages, Cecilia's the only other one that usually runs it and is in a similar speed bracket, so if both are speed buffed usually it's a stalemate.

If you're going to use Minerva and Sirius, you may as well run Merric and Julian, out of those 2 I vote Julian since he's a cool guy and you're probably going to wind up using Merric in the tutorial anyhow.

Palla tends to be the safer bet as she can act as a check for greens right off the bat, Caeda can be made to compete with Palla, but requires a lot more investment with inheritance.

Cherche is only good if you can make Brave Axe Nuke Cherche, otherwise she's pretty meh, if you can't build her then go with Michalis, since he can fill a role your other fliers cannot and you will need on your team: being tanky.

WoM > Vantage > Everything else

On a proper horse team Rein will kill everything he is supposed to without any trouble, even super inflated Tempest lances are no problem for him. If you want the most potential value then Wings of Mercy gives him another movement ability that could help in long battles such as the tempest.

Outside of that you're looking at defensive buffs, Btomebreaker allows him to take a hit from blue tomes, and Vantage gives him an "oh shit I fucked up but he's still ok" button. Lancebreaker does nothing defensively and offensively is useless if you have a full horse team behind Rein. The only potential value here is if you simply have something like Rein+Xander and that's it for horses and the rest of your team doesn't include a strong green to handle the 1 in a million chance of a lance flier sitting on a defense tile. Personally I wouldn't switch Vantage out unless you can land WoM 3 on him.

First of all, Mae is not a cum slut.

Second, play around with Blarowl. She's a powerful enemy-phase unit with it, especially if you have an ally with Spur skills. With Darting Blow, an ally with Hone/Rally Spd, an adjacent ally with Spur Spd, and Blarowl, she gets +16 spd on initiation, along with +2 atk/def/res.

She's as strong as she is cute! Have fun!

What's the advantage of running threatens and getting hit instead of just stacking buffs and one shotting on your turn? Honest question. I feel like this is something where Heroes fucked up from the get go, in most cases debuffs are simply not good enough compared to what buffs can do.

I built a Quadsuna for the memes before Bridelia was out and all the guides recommended giving her threaten def or spd but that never made sense to me because with LnD she has like 14 def, she's never going to stand within 2 spaces from an enemy and live to use the debuff.

All offensive specials account for buffs, but I don't think AoEs account for combat bonuses since the attack from them is made before combat starts.

Your attack in Heroes is considered to be BA+Weapon mt, which is why the percent bonuses they add are a bit lower than the other specials. You typically need heavy offensive buffing to make good use of Dragon Fang, but Draconic Aura works well enough with just standard +4 attack buffing on high attack units. Both of those add that percent as type neutral bonus damage, so it can get by color disadvantages despite what the rather plain description would have you believe.

Just shuffle the skills around if you don't have the same natures. Azura being blue only comes up on 11-2, she shouldn't be getting into combat any other time so Ninian or Olivia can sub in a pinch there. Linde can be mostly substituted by Doot if you inherit BOL2 onto her.
