1. Get Blárblade+ obviously
2. Get Moonbow. A bladetome already gives +1 charge, you really don't want anything with more than 2 base charge
3. Get rid of Death Blow. A damage-increasing A-skill is a waste on bladetomes
4. Olwen has very high speed, especially when buffed, so any breakers skills are a waste
5. It depends on your other cav buffs, but I believe you generally get more use out of Fortify or Hone rather than Ward
6. Get a seal like +1 Speed or whatever

You can build your Sonya as +SPD and use fury and use spd buffs by have a +res seal to survive the absolutely most perfect, ideal Reinhardt. Sacred Seals used to not exist and people got by. It's just an extra touch, in this case it's important since that one point of res lets her live. That is assuming you're facing once again perfect Reinhart.

The thing is dancers allow you to deal with stat bloat in two ways and only one (moving them away after) can be done without a dancer. The other (having a 2nd round of combat while keeping the unit in place/rotating him elsewhere and attacking) is something that is very handy and means that you don't have to rely on sponging hits on the EP as much, shifting more of the focus on PP where you can kill them and take little in return.

Also, I know it's bad to admit but i'm used to using a dancer as it does free up a lot of options especially when you can just move the dancer away with reposition/swap/draw back afterwards to keep them out of danger.

-blade Tomes are undeniably better than -owl Tomes. Tharja's kit is already very good with Darting Blow letting her reach a higher threshold to double. She can initiate, take a hit, and kill a DC Red Sword unit without the need of activating Desperation first. Conversely, she just needs Desperation, which will immediately activate after that first Sword enemy encounter. This lets her run Draw Back as an Assist to frustrate people in Arena defense, instead of memetic shit like Ardent Sacrifice to function well out of the box instead of having to waste a turn. Vengeance makes sense with her default kit but in practice it isn't as reliable with a higher cooldown and her HP being only 39 at neutral. It's not as ideal but by no means, trash. And obviously Tharja is bad at tanking Mages but she can usually barely scrape by, which can make the Vengeance combo an interesting one and I think that's what IS was going for when they initially designed her kit.

On the other hand, Kat cannot take any hits from any relevant DC Sword units and has to rely on securing oneshots or Desperation to survive them whenever she initiates. She is a better Mage tank with that higher Res obviously, but it can also prevent her from getting into Desperation range when tanking and killing them. Therefore, she tends to use Ardent Sacrifice instead of Draw Back which is less troublesome on Arena defense. Kat's stat spread makes her more of a Res-tanking glass cannon compared to Tharja's healthier Def but more meager Res.

I don't believe one is better than the other but they fulfill different niches and it's silly to be triggered when discussion their roles and abilities.

Kat can tank blue mages as well, even if I really wouldn't recommend it. A lot of decent mages have high speed too, so they're way harder to Desperation. That, and Katarina can make effective use of Ploy skills while Tharja can't, which takes an element of strategy out of her gameplan. I don't think the two are an entire tier apart though, they're close enough that it doesn't matter too much.
