Let's be honest, Platinum,Makoto,Tsubaki,Celica,Naoto,Es,Mai,Lambda,Hibiki and Bullet were mistakes on the roster. None of them should have ever been given priority over Jubei and it's a shame we had to wait so long to get him over these useless characters. Thankfully none of them will be in Blazblue tag. That formula is kind of possible I think. But you better get used to other combos, you aren't relying on corners all the time, each character literally revolves on a fighting style and "Unique Skill" they have plus what you have.
Ragna is a close-mid range character that can leech the opponent life (recovering life by just stealing him with the D button)
Hakumen is a more harder character to use, his Drive is basically a counter like you saw Geese in Tekken, he is more heavy but can be close-mid-long range.
Carl is literally two characters in once, it's really hard to use.
It's really different, you need time until you get used to it and choose the one you want.

I'm glad as well. I've been looking at it since I started seeing threads building up to CF's english release but I was hesitant due to low playerbase. It does seem like it's picking up a lot, I've seen quite a few posts about it on /v/, and Evo was awesome to watch even if you know very little about anime fighters so I imagine there's a lot of people jumping in now. Either old sprites will have to be redrawn or polygon models rotoscoped but the literal payoff would easily be worth it. Expect GG characters to be announced a few months before release to maintain hype.
