Depends on a lot of stuff. Half the game is spending your credits wisely. But as a general guideline do this

The only really important thing to know is that Cauterize/Wrecker 3 is really important and that you should try to finish them ASAP, and it's better to save than to purchase a 300c item for no reason. Exceptions exist, of course, if you're about to do a crucial teamfight, etc etc.

Androxus: Is actually viable. More mobility than McCree.
Evie: If they compare her with Mei because of the iceblock and the ice theme alone they are retarded.
Drogoz: Salvo is pretty fun as a burst. His Fire Spit with Combustible acts similar to Concussive Blast, but has more use than just to boop people off stage for the memes.
Kinessa: Her mine is actually useful for more than just to detect flanks.
Barik: Is actually viable. Turrets are immediate and you don't have to babysit it.
Fernando: Can flank.
Makoa: Is actually viable, and is not a gimmick hook-shoot one-trick. Has a shield that can help protect your team and a movement ability.
Skye: Comes out before Sombra. I'd admit Sombra is better though.

She's not really. I have played both to Mastery 10. Here's what I have seen.
Seris is about multitasking. Do you step outside of your shadow travel to heal your teammates or do you linger there to keep yourself alive? Do you cancel your heal to deal with the flank or do you try to keep your teammate alive in the 3 seconds?
Mal'Damba is about aiming. His skills are instantaneous. You can just RMB your teammate and then go back to try to stun people. His Gourd as well means 2 healing outputs.
It's kinda like, for Seris, you have the potential to heal for more if your team is scattered, while for Mal, you have the potential to heal for more if your team is clumped up, and you can do multiple things at once as Mal.
Their playstyles are quite different from each other.

Don't listen to the other anon, a good Maeve can be hell on the backline. Your main aim as her is to be an annoyance and to focus High Value Targets such as healers and damages. She works best when your team is distracting the other, but if you catch someone alone it is a free kill for you. Shes has decent burst and great mobility. Remember that even if you fail to kill an enemy, running away is always an option. Distracting their healer or damage for an extra 5 seconds to chase you and finish you is still valuable to your team and means less heals/death coming their way. She does not do to well with deathballs, so pairing yourself with someone like willk gets good results. Practice with bot, get your combos in then try it out in onslaught or payload before going to the big boy bracket. Vvgl vvgf

Your goal as the tank is to insinuate yourself into as many fights as possible.
Be visible, be vulnerable, and be aggressive with your damage and utility. Interrupt their flow, urinate in their cheerios, and make them want to kill you.
Sometimes you can do this at or near the point, sometimes you need to move with your flank and damage to win the initial fight. Depends on map, comp, and which FL you're playing.
It's not until your team has the advantage, and has hopefully killed their healer, that you should direct your full attention to the point and enemy frontline.
After the enemy team is fully wiped, if your healer is smart, he'll be on the point, and you can move up with your DDs to zone and stall the respawn.

That's the progression of winning a teamfight. Name of the game is always pressure. Can't apply pressure if your allies lose their lesser fights early on, so you help them win it.

This is why Torvald is so bad, especially on larger maps. All he can do is sit on the point like a lump. He can't pressure, he can't zone, and he's very little help in a DD fight. All he's good for is dueling with the enemy FL, which doesn't help if your whole team is dead.

This is also why Inara is so good. She has good enough damage falloff to pressure the back or side line while on point, and enough oh shit buttons to handle any positioning with minor heals. Tinkerin Barik and Nu-Nando also do this quite well.

Similar deal with healers. If you're just running straight toward the point and dying as a healer, you're the problem.

Some say that other flanks can do her role better, which has some merit. Low survivability means that if you cannot kill your target quickly you are fucked. It's a classic case of 'other guy never misses'. At that level your burst often cannot save you and it goes back to my earlier point of your mistakes are punished hard. She definately has a limit, and at some point a 'Good Maeve' often could be a 'Godly Androxas' instead. She is as viable as the skill of the player, and it is possible to brute force wins at any level, but it would have been easier with another champ most definately. If the way things are going is any indication, a blessing would be a free 'be invincible' ability to suppliment nine lives. All she need is sustain, the makings are there for a good champ.

She's not as viable as the skill of a player, anon. After your enemies reach a certain skill level she becomes fundamentally unable to 1v1 any hero in the game due to how bad she is. And she's even worse now that they buffed all projectile speeds, thus making her even easier to counter.

If I go to test queue, can I do 150k dmg and carry a match single handedly with her? Sure. But I'd probably get almost no kills queueing in siege unless my team was extremely good and the enemy team was extremely bad.

That's just silly, she is very much capable of a 1v1 but the problem is it often ends with her abilities used up and her on low health. Face to face 1v1 is also not a good way to play her, that's bad game sense. Strike from the shadows, always be the first to damage.
