Memories of Celceta? I enjoyed it, especially the second half after crossing the river into the primeval lands, but holy shit there was so much exposition and dialogue compared to previous Ys games. What's wrong with Chapter 6 though? It's better than stupid teen jealousy in Sora's chapter. I can't believe they actually played it straight and it's not actually a misunderstanding.

I feel really conflicted about whether to get spoiled or not.
On one hand, I got half the twists in both Sky and CS spoiled but still enjoyed the games immensely, C's identity even made it somehow sadder in retrospect. I'm not particularly partial to the idol industry. SpiCa in light doses I could deal with but an entire chapter of basically that was meh. And it didn't help that Rion kept bringing it up after, though I could understand why.
I didn't mind the teenage jealousy to be perfectly honest. The fact that it WASN'T a misunderstanding and Chiaki was being a jealous bitch about it was kind of refreshing.
And I liked the twist. I thought Shiori was going to die, not that she was dead all along, plus Kou's demeanor throughout the final chapter screamed "I know exactly what's happening deep in my heart of hearts but I can't bring myself to admit it to myself until it's right in my face". Kinda put a bit of a lump in my throat in that final dungeon, partially because I liked Kou, especially compared to, say, Rean, but I don't think that's too hard.

Nisa is fine in certain games, the problem people have with them is how they seem to insert random memes like naming a character "Este dee" just for some pun, and some of their games crashing non stop, which was fairly prevalent with Neptunia games.

Their Danganronpa games seemed to run fine and the translation was decent.

Are you basing yourself on VG chartz? If so you can't even use it correctly because the data there is extremely conservative. No sales recorded once it drops from top ten and no digital sales either, so what you should do is look at the annual summaries.

If you do so, you'll see that cold steel sold 50k in the usa + 26k in europe for the vita, and 58k in the usa + 15k in europe for the ps3 (for a total of around 150k sales from the xseed translation only.

Cold steel II sold 45k USA + 41k europe for the vita, while the PS3 version sold 43k USA + 40k europe for a total of 170k sales for the xseed translation by itself.

It's nothing world shattering, but notheless quite respectable already.
