this is why this is such a strong deck, because the "counters" to spawn dont do shit to the neutral flood.

I fought a GM with burn rune, and I could just tell he had muta in hand to "counter" my spawn, so instead I just threw down alice and tove and he was forced to muta that just to survive.

There is no counter to neutral spawn, it is a literal tier 0 deck.

Fairy Dragon is so incredibly bad. I made a token aggro deck with since there's a fuckton of ways to buff them now, and I initially threw two dragons in. Within 10 matches I was generally pleased with the deck, but Fairy Dragon was the first thing I cut. It's useless early game, and late game a 4 defence ward isn't going to stop anyone. It's literally a legendary Doggo, yet still worse because it does nothing on-curve.

That was a match that had nothing to do with Baphomet or Spawn, but things like that are something I see surprisingly often. I could understand if he had seven or more health, but seriously situations like this are easily avoidable. He is setting up two turn lethal as it is, and is dead if I draw Spawn in time anyway so just set up a big board and wait.

I think that the higher level players play the Spawn deck by first going unga bunga with the neutral engine, then transition into denying board presence for the other player all the while chipping away further with what board state they already have, with spawn coming in around turn 8 to wipe out what little health the other player has left. Tove, BKB, Scarlet O'Hara, and to lesser extent Esmeralda are going to be the ones who will continue the raep train that is Spawn deck especially if Baph is the only one that becomes the scapegoat that Cygames punishes.
