Don't think of chickening as an absolute technique you must implement in your play. It's just a neat little way to counter parries.

Remember; Knees, Shoulders, Elbows and Headbutt moves can't be parried, so if you're not comfortable trying to learn Chickens, use those types of moves instead.

Is this an effective routine if I want to get better at not being shit? These are moves set on repeat on random that the Bryan dummy does.

don't worry about learning too much at once, taking it one character at a time is a great way to learn in this game and not overwhelm yourself
The snake edge training wont directly carry over because the animations are different but it helps a ton with other characters, once i started looking at my opponent more i could see the spinning, body going low animation in general and block lows that i hadn't trained against

You'll be skipping steps knowing this technical shit without understand how to play neutral as nina before you can even use it properly. If you aren't tight with the SS1 strings, you'll get interrupted a lot. Don't aim for that level but try doing maybe 1 or 2 to open people up first.

How do you get up faster from the ground? I've tried up and back just before I hit the ground. I can't get up fast enough to respond to Kazuya's spinning kicks and get chained forever.

When you tech, you have some iframes all the way through the animation when you roll to the sides. The only problem with teching early is that you'll always get hit with a meaty actually rising so there are times where it is better to stay down, take the low to get knocked away further and then tech.

No, you just lose the normal amount of points. Sidestep more against Lili and play neutral. Lili has really linear options and the ones that aren't, are highs. You can move after you block a 1,2 or a df1 without getting completely fucked up.

It's a better idea to not do that because you'll get CH by 1 regardless and 2 if you delay at all. It's best to just block high if you actually let her pressure you into stance because her low gives her the least. You *CAN* power crush all of the options besides the low obviously but 1 will beat you out and actually won't count as a CH against you. When they start to go low a lot out of stance, blow it up with a low crush.

None, really. I always go for the ones that are less likely to drop. I use this instead of the optimal damage combo because because there is only 5 point difference in damage, and the iWR move in the optimal combo has tighter timing and is too likely to drop online.

If you start trying to duck out of his throws, the game is already over. He'll just hopkick you to death or hit d/f+2 which puts you at -3 and back in the mix-up again.

Learn to break his throws. It isn't actually difficult, you just need to spend an hour or so in practice mode to learn the breaks. 98% of the time it's going to be a 1 break anyway because he's trying to GS you.

in my experience you can duck everyone once in awhile and it wont count.

i had one day where i was pissed from getting demoted so i ducked more matches than usually, resulting in penalties after the second ducking. a week later i ducked and it gave me the warning message instead of a penalization.

imo i think people climb up high from not only from winning against players who are the same rank as them but also cherry pick their best match up.

I've had people rage quit against me 3 or more times in a row and every time they come up they still have white names. It's no big deal because I'm in Australia where there's a small community and I recognise the rage quitters on sight now but it's still pretty fucking stupid.

I have also heard that there's some sort of exploit to get around the name thing but don't quote me on that.

If she spams punch strings then duck at any time and do a full crouch attack. Don't do a WS otherwise you'll get hit before your attack starts.
If she spams her 4 kick strings than just block them all and then hopkick.
If she spams her 3 kicks then keep blocking and learn when the low part of her 3 kick string comes and parry it.
If she does her forward dash it could either be a low sweep kick or a mid knee. The low kick is the most common so if you have to guess your safest bet is to assume it's going to be the low sweep so crouch to block it then punish with a WS or hopkick or whatever.
