I've got bad modding habits. Used Astien's guide on the S.T.E.P. wiki, it's 99% textures, then went and tried getting OCO 2 to work along with shademe and menuque at the same time. As I said, bad habits.

I mean, the body textures have nothing to do with nude/non-nude meshes since they're only applied to the body meshes. The clothing textures come from Skyrim .bsa files.

So basically you can pick any textures you want and then create your nevernude body with UUNP.

Is there a reason why I wouldn't use all the official DLC if I got the version that had all of it? I'm a newcomer to TES from Fallout where you get 4 DLCs and mods require either all DLC or no DLC.

All Natural is superior, yes.

Oblivion has a lot more DLC than Fallout or Skyrim, so there aren't any (notable) mods that 100% require every DLC. It's actually a bad idea to use all of them because they all contain many dirty edits and too many DLC homes+quests you'll never use will result in your saves becoming too large too fast.

I'm plenty familiar with modding (Fallout modding requires a lot of manually doing what Wrye Bash and other things do automatically with TES games for some reason), I'm just not familiar with the content. I basically used that guide for the textures and was looking at the OP guide, and that's when I started crashing before I could load anything. Also it seems outdated, it says something about two different OCOs, but there's only one left on the Nexus.

Thanks, it took a moment to figure out navigation on that site, so that's my bad.

And I demand the best LOD possible. Pic related, that bridge in the distance doesn't have any LOD, even after I download all the extra LOD mods and ran LODGen. Because of this, and the fact that it's placed right over the seam between two cells, when you approach it, only half of it shows up.

There's a huge ridge with a road littered in ruined cars and trucks all the way up. None of them have any LOD meshes, so the road looks perfectly clean before you approach it. Then there's a single building that somehow has a lower quality LOD texture than the rest of the vanilla game, and a tower that has the LOD texture mapped to it wrong, and apparently I was the first one to notice, and the unofficial patch team would have to make a new mesh for it to fix. In the most popular texture pack they accidentally stuck a LOD texture that's as big as the normal textures, makes the LOD render wrong, so shit doesn't show up because it breaks the mesh into two parts, and that doesn't work for LOD. So I went in and manually fixed that texture. And that was WITH the LOD specific patch for that texture pack.

Just examples of shit that triggers my autism.

Inconsequential NPCs is good and does just what you're asking. You'll also want to get Interesting NPCs which adds more NPCs in interesting (obviously) and immersive ways.
You also may be interested in Immersive Patrols, it basically does the same thing on roads as those other two mods do in cities.

A tip for the wise is to avoid dumb mods that add nothing you need. Like Alive Waters, Book Jackets, even that Autumn Leaves mod is pretty dumb unless you're having a photoshoot in that very specific region. You're simply never even see it and it just makes modding a headache when something goes wrong(and it will go wrong).

There are a lot of other pointless mods in your load order too, and most guides will list garbage like this for whatever reason. Stick to as small a load order as you can and don't just blindly install mods some dude said was good.

Also use cobl.esm for spell deletion and denock arrows, it's got some other features too which I think includes toggleable quantity prompt but maybe I'm thinking of something else, like QZ easy menus maybe(which you should be using wtf).

Also Natural Habitat is good but All Natural supersedes Natural Weather. And Bashed Patch fixes the UOP Vampire thing. And finally, ShadeMe sux. Waste of FPS.

Oblivion newfag here, I'm getting pretty close to that with FNV, just keeping it under 100 actual active plugins as the ground starts losing collision faster when I go over. But again, I don't know anything about the contents of the mods. When I modded FNV as an Oblivion Veteran I had a lot of trouble and my game just ended up crashing even though I thought it was perfectly set up. It was a right shame, I made a fair amount of OC and everything. For me it's the journey that's the fun part though.

CTD before the game gets to the menu is usually on account of a missing master(or a master loading after it's dependancy), botched UI/Menu folder, broken Oblivion.ini, or it could be something more obscure.

FCO = Fallout Character Overhaul. Fucks with all the races and makes up new ones, and a huge chunk of the texture files are in the wrong folders. It took someone else to fix them. And the eyes look dead or something. It's also the base for New Vegas Redesigned (3), specifically the older and more broken release of FCO. That one fucks with races and then plops a bunch of corpses with torn clothes all over because "the Legion (Caesar's) raped these women and killed them so you should feel bad" and fails, and fucks up some lore in the process, like putting unbroken slaves in the middle of the main military camp.

Looks fantastic but is very incomplete - by that I mean lots of little mods and some big cool mods don't have compatibility patches for it yet, and it isn't modular to allow for compatibility with other city/town mods.
Advantages include completely unique redesigned city architecture styles for Falkreath, Dawnstar and Winterhold, including separate worldspaces for each of them which improves performance.
There are reports of big instability/CTDs/etc, but that's the same as any other city mod.

tl;dr It has great potential to become the best city mod of all time but it needs some time to grow and gain compatibility with other mods. It's like when SPERG was the popular hotness and Ordinator just came out, Ordinator needed time to surpass it before it became worth it.

When I launch the game from the Mod Organizer textures on the menu smoke and logo don't load, but the high res texture packs work fine when I just launch from steam.

No issue cause none of the town mods touch interiors. Only thing you need to do is load Solitude Reborn after Radioactive Glorified, because it messed with a navmesh outside the chapel.

Leveled lists are used to create dynamism in the game world. In general, leveled lists can be used to introduce random chance into events - characters being equipped at random with one of a set of weapons - or they can be used to scale the environment to the player's level - seeing a Rat at level 1 and a Mountain Lion at level 17. Many leveled lists focus on providing one or the other, but they can also be partially random, partially level-based, depending on the way they are set up.

They are also how Oblivion scales the world around you. There are three main types of Leveled Lists. Whenever I start the game from Mod Organizer none of the textures load. I disabled even the high texture replacements but that didn't help, even with nothing but the base game and DLC enabled nothing loads.

I know NMM is a piece of shit but at least it doesn't have this shit happen. Is there a simple fix to make MO actually load textures or do I just switch to something else again>>181900553
