I have those IVs and he's still a god.
The spd actually helps him not get doubled by a lot of characters. After a Hone Spd boost, he reaches 33 spd, which is pretty good for a tanky unit.

If you have the SI ready for her, Maskcina is worthwhile. The hybrid myrmidon-healer thing is super useful. She does the job of a red when you need it, and is still valuable against full-blue teams because she can keep everything else alive.

Anna will be worthwhile when the new TT hits because she's a natural counter to fast, high-mobility blue mages and we're probably getting boss Bruno. She's also a pinch reinhardt counter if you have none already.

Kagero is a generally solid unit but worthless vs cavmemes so not super valuable in the arena right now.

Lilina is great if you have bladetome fodder or lack a strong red mage, but she can also do her job just fine as 4* because her natural attack is so damn high. Just give her as cheap t1 green tomebreaker if you need her to crush buffed Ninos or Cecilias.

Jeorge is mediocre at best, Eliwood needs cavmemes and Effie is armored and therefore a pain in the ass to use without a team of reposition babysitters

You need physical damage of literally every colour, but also a capable enemy-phase unit.
I'd lean Camilla or Cordelia because your damage is ranged-heavy and ranged teams benefit greatly from a flier with drawback/reposition, plus that covers your physical damage needs.

You don't really have any good options for enemy phase units right now except for that Elder Tiki, but you already have too much red magic for her to be worthwhile. Make it a priority to train up something beefy and physical for your next batch of 20k feathers. If you grabbed Michalis during his GHB, he'd be an ideal option.

After a stint with GBF, I'm glad to be back. I think I've come to prefer the different artstyles of all the heroes. When everything is done by one person, it all tends to blend together and become unremarkable, or like GBF, beautiful in the way you expect so nothing excites you about it as much anymore.

You're forgetting that people will roll every once in a while. Using only free orbs I'd say people roll on-banner bonus units about 1 in 3 times, making having a 5* starter for those 2 weeks useless. Taking that into account you're looking at the 3+ years.

Needing a 5* unit to get a max defence score is bullshit by the way, the ranking is very lenient in that regard.

This is all assuming the arena system stays the same for the coming 3 years, which it 100% certainly won't.

Luna has the same charge time and is effective in more situations if you can't be arsed to use atk/def/res based skills, and Moonbow is faster. They don't, if your offense is garbage enough to do 0 damage the bonus damage still gets mitigated. What makes those moves special is that they don't apply weapon triangle effects so you can use Ignis to blow up an axe user even if you're a lancer in some cases.

They don't, they just add a fuckload of flat damage.
If you have 30 def and you trigger bonfire, you get +15 damage.
If you were going to do 4 damage before, you do 19 now. Your attack - their defense was already +4, so 15 on top of _4 is your new post-mitigation damage.
If you were going to do 0 damage before, your new damage will be attack + bonfire bonus -enemy defense, which will be somewhere less than 50% of your own defense.

They're also still affected by triangle effects, but often they add so much fucking damage that it doesn't even matter.

Daggers are a class they've always had a difficulty balancing. They exist out of necessity of having something non-combat to interact with unique map elements. In the older games, they functioned as just weaker myrmidons that promoted to gain a small instantkill gimmick, but since their damage and survivability was so utterly dependent on rng, they could accidentally be untouchable crit powerhouses, or else just fucking die everytime you need a door unlocked because their 90% dodge roll failed.

The later FE games changed that by making daggers ranged, so they stay more out of harms way while doing their job and don't need any combat stats to exist on the field, but that also functionally put the nail in the coffin for their combat viability. Now Heroes has no RNG at all and no map elements to interact with so they're just super shitty bow clones without anti-flier bonuses. There's no way to make them not-shit within the confines of Heroes' system without just making them archers-but-better
