Your Vigor is complete shit, if you're going to be a poise monster you need to get to 50 Vigor.

All that Vitality is wasted levels, especially since you're sitting on 20 Endurance and 70% equip load. Armor is nowhere near as good as it was in DaS1, you're better off shaving off and staying under 50%.

Effective Str remains the same when you two-hand, it's just that the requirement is halved. So your Red Iron Twinblade is hitting like a wet noodle because you don't actually have 40 Str, the lion's share of attack bonus comes between 30 and 40 Str.

There's absolutely no reason to level Int to 40. Just use Simpleton's Spice to reduce the requirements for whatever spells you're going to use.

Choose between melee or caster, you can't reasonably be both. If you're going to be a caster, lose the Vitality and cut Str down to 20, then reduce Int to 30 and put all those points into Vigor (getting Attunement to 43 also gets you an extra cast on some spells). If you're going melee, then completely remove all those caster stats and dump into Vigor and Endurance while getting Strength to either 40 or 50.

I'm definitely going to get rid of sacred oath for GMB; it didn't seem to do much anyway
And I'll also think about getting more poise, but I really want to keep this build based around magic damage rather than dark and keep away from using projectile spells even if that would make it way more viable. I do fine with it against other players in arena and my losses usually just come from me being bad rather than not doing enough damage.
The target shield is also my favorite shield in the series, so I just prefer using that over the buckler.

Just whatever class has the least amount of base Int. Classes are fairly easy to minmax in DaS2 because there aren't any absolutely useless stats (like Vit and Luck in DaS3) and you'll have to eventually level most stats anyway.

If you want to full min-max you can choose Bandit, which has decent melee stats to make things easier in the beginning. You'll still have to level Int a bit to interact with one of the merchants anyway, but you can reduce it back to base afterward with respeccing.

That's basically how demon's was planned to go at first. I would but I wouldn't want it to be standard, only optional. What would be the reward for it though, just epeen? Also, you can simulate something like this yourself. Say, you can only ember once per boss killed, so you basically have 3 tries for each area+boss, which is a pussier version of permadeath. You can also do another thing I want to try at some point. You can only use the firelink bonfire and you can't even light any others. The reason the game throws a deep infused weapon right at the start is becuase you have no stats and the first boss is weak to dark damage. There are other mobs weak to dark damage and your int stat may never grow, much like what happened with you IRL.
