This deck just took me into rank 13, and today I found out JJ made a very similar version.

I kinda want a replacement for Jotunn since he seems underwhelming, but JJ plays BTM and that seems straight up retarded in a weather spam deck.

I tried Nithral but he is a 4-str silver shackle food since I run nothing else that needs shackling.

Depends what decks you play, but generally speaking Renew is more widely useful than gigni currently. Everyone is playing overpowered garbage so even if you aren't it still means you have a chance to steal your opponent's Caranthir or Hjalmar.
Gigni is nice with all the monster decks running wild though, since they make strong independent monsters who don't need no scorch effects.

Hey guys. I committed pretty hard into ST in terms of card picks and what I crafted, and I'm having a little trouble climbing right now. Any ST players out there finding more success? What's the best deck to climb with right now.

I'm using the handbuff/ambush/move hybrid deck that was popularized recently, it's a lot of fun but I'm hardstuck in rank 11 right now. Weather axemen is very frustrating to play against, though there was this one fun bit where I passed, and baited him into passing while he was 15 points ahead (not knowing that I handbuffed my Toruviel to 14 points). But other than that I've just been kind of pissed off.

Will I have more fun with Spell ST? Like a fight cancer with cancer type thing.

Peter being 4 is provably bullshit. He's mardroeme, bronze card, with 4 body to go along. Since you can have up to 3 bronzes but only 1 silver, the promotion value must be at least x3 worth the price. Meaning that CDPR considers 4/3=1.3 str to be worthy of a promotion (the actual number is even lower because silvers are limited in overall number unlike bronzes). Fair? Lets check: the fattest pure value card in the game is Wyvern with 9 (6+3 dmg). There are strangely no pure value silvers in the game, but the closest one is probably Fire Elemental with 12 (6+1+1+1+3 dmg). If we disregard the fact that elemental brings along additional value with three more bodies, it's still 3 for promotion, meaning that at least when it comes to pure swing value, Peter is at least 1.7 points underpowered. As an absolute staple of NG decks, the commonfolk man deserves better.

i just got to reveal NG in the last few days and i'm constantly changing my deck because i'm never satisfied. i had 3 DFS and 3mangronels at first. this was before i even had essential golds so the idea was to put the mangronels down and wreck my enemy with voorhis and then use cahir to thin my deck more, this never worked because mangronels get BTFO and mulligan never gives in as easy as i'd hope it will, also i could reveal most of my opponent's deck because of it

then i changed it to 1mangro 2DFS 2firescorpions and it was also crap

now i run vattier instead of cahir with 2 mango 1 firescorpion 1DFS and one alchemist and it's the best i've had so far because i finally reveal most of my opponent's deck and usually even when the mulligans disappoints me and i don't have the firescorpion and DFS in my hand i reveal something in my hand that isn't a big secret and it sort of works. but it's not good enough to rise the ladder. i feel like knowing what shit my opponment carries with him has greater value than deck thinning

Like 1 or 2 in the morning.
The difference in skill is huuuuuge.
I can farm my dailies in minutes, with victory after victory, while is a harder during daytime.

Also, one thing I've noticed, I never had someone adding me after a match while playing in European time. At night, I tend to get someone that just wants to tell me''hur dur you shitter, hope you die, you are ruining da game'' etc, etc.

Don't mix Mangonel's and Fire Scorpions - I prefer scorpions myself. Fattier is absolutely essential, Chair doesn't work very well in reveal. What silvers are you running? Albrich is good, Cynthia has potential as well at the moment as a lot of SK decks will have Hjallmar. I run Auckes and Peter to deal with bears+axemen and Vanhemar is auto-include. I run Joachim as well but Cantarella is all-around probably the saner choice.

Your strength as a deck is that there is very little in the deck you don't want to draw, save for Imperial Golems. This means you can take advantage of cards like Avalla'ch and not risk ruining any deck pulls, like Crones or Witchers.

I would recommend, as a base:
3x Spotter
2x DFS
2x Fire Scorpion
2x Nilfgaardian Knight/Alchemist

Then add the silvers I mentioned and put in your golds - The best lineup ATM is probably Avalla'ch, Vattier, Leo/Vilgefortz and Renew. Tibor can be good for last round shenanigans, but should only be played if you know your opponent can't beat you with a lucky topdeck.

my other golds are speartip, succubus, immerith, cerataker. speartip is shit so i run all these above excluding him. neutrals are noob one - geralt and triss. as you can see I lack good golds as fuck. literally seven gold cards and five of them are monster.
i get my shit pushed all the time, but i won't bend under crafting legit weather cancer.
i also have okay cards for timeria and squirells so I look into getting neutrals rather than fixating on monster

We're here just to suffer. Gwent can't be fixed because the game is designed by monkeys. There's no real skill output from the player, the games only last 15 turns and any somewhat experienced player has maybe 1-2 debatable decisions to make. It plays itself. I get no joy from Gwent whatsoever, I never feel like I outplayed the opponent or was outplayed by him. We both make obvious turns and then somebody wins. I'm just in for the daily dose of 100 goy ore to buy a dissappointing keg full of bronzes I already have.

Honestly I don't think Letho is that good in reveal or at all.
Without DBomb you are at best denying your opponent of some key cards like mork, axemen and bears if they are skellige and stupid. Other factions don't give a shit.
Since you can't stagger your spotters, lining them up to feed a 7 point Letho very rarely won't get you punished.
Even with DBomb you rarely get more than 20 value, which is not that great using a gold and a silver while giving your board 0 points.
