Xul needs a rework or a boost in his number there is no reason to play him when you can pick a better pusher who's damage doesn't fall off. Not even his root is worth it. You can clear waves all you want but the majority of the time they will die before they do any real damage to the enemy forts. It doesn't help he can't tank any damage despite being a slow ass melee hero with a shitty shield.

I love Samuro so fucking much but when I want to play him in HL I am unable to since I always have to fill the tank/support spot.

What's the best way to teach my friend who mostly plays Overwatch this game? We play some qm together but they're always hopelessly confused and constantly die to things they don't understand

It takes priority of class fiction first, tank soaking, healer healing and from there its siege damage, then hero damage. Things Zeratul does better: engage, instant ambush damage, escape
Things Valeera does better: sustained damage, overall damage, control, survival
Zera requires far more precise control with blink location, but Valeera requires far more practice to get the rhythm of her abilities down.
Zera's spike damage is a little better, and his blink is a supreme escape tool as well as chase tool. Void Prison is also a truly unique ability with many versatile offensive and defensive properties (however, improper use of it will ruin your own team, as you magnificently save enemies and capture fleeing allies in your haste)

If he snags them with so much as one Death Shroud then the game is on. Malth positioning can be tricky, but he's quite capable of engaging at ranged units with clever use of teleporting behind, say, branded minions to close the gap.
I find myself beating ranged units quite often, with the exception of Lunara who is just universally faster than Malthael.

I just experienced the most retarded match ever. The enemy team had a 4 stack and were clearly capable of playing decently. However, my team was fucking worse than bots. They would not say a thing, never respond to pings and calls made in chat to defend a lane and kept auto attacking their lanes until we lost. Like they legitimately weren't actual players, but they played worse than bots. Like someone programmed a bot only to cast skills to clear waves to push and ignore objectives. What the fuck?

Falstad, li Ming, Tracer, Valla, Genji, Zayra, even Greymane can keep there distance, never close the gap and keep moving any time they see that ability slowly drag on the ground. Hell I have crush well playing Maths with Ragnrous thanks to his meat ball special and never engaged him in melee much to his attempt. Smart players see he has enough weakness that he only shines well with a melee team that has little means of range.

This just sealed you as clearly being scrub lvl because any player worth their salt is not going to get near that unless they have some way to ensure safety, where it be an ability to show what's hiding or just simply use an aoe attack there to see if anything shows up. There are dozens on dozens of fucking heroes that thrive on ambushing so unless you are just playing with scrubs that just run around those bushes your hero is more or less just waiting to be targeted and even ganked because no skilled player carelessly gets near an area that grants stealth.
