Hey laddos, I'm thinking of doing a Divergances AAR as a sort of test run here, maybe interactive. Would you be interested?

I'm thinking of starting as revolutionary England, specifically either England during a revolt against the Dual Monarchy which decided to favor France more, or even a Total Revolution against the DM.

It'll mainly be a writing exercise like AARanon, and I may use changeowner to make better/more sensible borders or make a story go along (not to my benefit, of course).

I do plan on trying to make it emotional.

In reality, yes absolutely, The "Jefferson Method" is used in modern-day Europe (although not in modern day America) to create a proportional voting system that results in a parliament/congress that reflects the views of the public accurately rather than forcing them to decide between a couple parties.
This is very much superior to America/England-style FPTP.

Like others said it's because your units are in reserve. If your units come in from another province while an attack is underway they have a 2% chance per hour of joining the frontline. Either get more units so you can keep then sitting on the frontline or research radios to increase reinforcement chance

You're the one that always says that being an accepted culture is representative not only of being accepted by the nation, but also of that culture accepting the nation in return. My point in all this is to say that I think a percent chance of accepting the union is more wise. That way the player invests and receives only a chance of more lasting success, but there is a chance that the Irish will, like the Scots, be "truly" accepted into the union and feel no further desire to be independent. But, of course, there's also the chance that they'll desire independence anyway, and in that event the player's investments are of only passing benefit.

Honestly I can only speak for myself, but I've noticed a majority of the games are dominated by Germany. I can't give you exact details (as I'm at work), but even midgame Germany can take on France + Russia + GBR fine on its own

It seems kind of silly to have events that, for example (in the core removal event), the text reads something like "The German flag as been replaced by the German flag".
