I believe in the past he has held some very anti-mod opinions in general, I've heard a number of people mention he once expressed the idea of all modding as cheating? I haven't seen the posts though but I wouldn't be surprised.

Well I guess not. Someone who is as massive a fan as him I'm almost surprised he hasn't but I guess the thing is he is perfectly happy with vanilla, bugs and all, he appreciates all the "quirks".
He's only making such a fuss about ZRP because it's so popular and he can't stop it from existing, so he demands these comprises so while ZRP exists he can at least convince people to use the barebones version and play STALKER as the way he believes it should be.
That's why he says he'll advertise it on his STALKER Facebook group, it's a strange compromise for him, and it's all pointless anyway because ZRP already doesn't 'effectively' change the vanilla experience.
I wouldn't blame someone for making requests when they don't know how to mod normally, because that's just most people, but he's being such an entitled ass here about a non-issue.

i personally will reccomend vanilla SOC with zrp for the bugfixes, and because the gunplay is dogshit without the modifier.

and from what i remember playing of straight vanilla. (years ago) i couldn't progress the game because of bugs/ctd's.

On an unrelated note, what kind of bullshit is the Rostok arena in CoC? I've gotten to round 5 or 6 -- I forget, but it's the round with the two army guys and you're given a freedom suit and an AN-94.

I plug these guys with 5 or 6 bursts straight into their fucking skulls and they don't fucking die, meanwhile I get nailed from across the arena for my entire health on master difficulty. What is happening?

Realistically though, I thought master difficulty increase bullet damage for enemies AND for you. On CoC, I don't feel that's the case at all. Even unarmored bandits can take 2-3 headshots from an AK-74 at 50 yards before going down. Something's fucked in the damage settings.

Moddb has a cop inventory for soc. Its used by several of the bigger mods.

I made my own to keep texture usage to the minimum and keep the trash soc look to some degree.
