I'm somewhat interested in Lost Alpaca, but if they're not ditching the cringe worthy cutscenes, there will be very little play value of the game itself because I really hate sitting in place for several minutes while a janky in-engine cutscene is playing out. This bothered me tons in vanilla CS / CoP already, but at least those games used those in-engine cutscenes really sparingly.

If they've improved the game technologically, I'm interested to see if people will start making mods for Lost Alpha that take advantage of the new and awesome levels they have for it.

That cutscene is buggy. My first attempt, the merc was there, but far away from the bandit. I did something stupid in the fight and reloaded and this time merc was right next to the bandit as expected.

Also the general AI of the bandits was....off.

In the first attempt I just went in guns blazing and a couple of them responded naturally, but one of them off in the distance I kept shooting and he was walking away from me like it was nothing. No reaction. He then dropped dead.

One of the bandits upstairs in the right building didn't even notice me until I got right in his face.

Is moddb still the only place to get lost alpha? When it initially released there was a torrent floating about (due to dezo's site imploding) - nothing this time around?

Found the problem. The hotfix installer deletes 2 gamedata db files with ca. 3gb of data, which causes almost all issues in game now. We removed the 1.4001 patch, until someone in team can create a working installer, which won't delete the database files from game.

I tried arsenal 1.2 in the repo and like it a lot but shit is in russian or something and the hud is fucking terrible. I tried another hud and my game crashes on loading a game. Even when i start a new game and load it a day later. Since I can't seem to find one myself, how is lurk? I read it adds a fuck ton of new weapons and that's all I really want.

Lurk's weapons are only decent to be honest. The lack of artifacts and weird balance held it back for me. Far from the worst i played, to be fair. First hour or two was pretty fun, but by the time i got to the bar i dropped it.

I downloaded lurk today and gave it a try (haven't played it since 2013 or so). I don't know if I've gotten too used to my fine tuned CoC or what, but I just could get into it. The guns were nice but the fucking bloom made my head hurt and it just felt off in general for some reason. Some of the unreleased content actually looked pretty cool though.

Oh yeah, that bloom was the first thing i turned off. I was having fun running around in Cordon but by the time i made it to through the underground mission and unlocked the bar, i was kinda bored. I played it a little bit longer and never really picked it back up.
Removing the use of artifacts was dumb, but to be fair i only played 1.1 so maybe the other versions were better.

First archive is gamedata, then optional folder :choose enb or shaders not both and if you play on static lighting then use shaders then static lighting fix.
