It's not just pair up that's broken in Awakening's combat; reclassing is too broken and the skill system is a lot more RNG than Fates, which actually was mostly deterministic.

After playing it more than 7 times in Lunatic in different playthroughs I can say it was the chapter I dreaded the most, Stoneborns with wonky as fuck placement and and breaker faceless everywhere doesnt make for a fun chapter.

That was until I decided low manning it is the easiest way to do it, chessing it with xander/corrin and their pair up and feeding them healing items makes the ordeal easier, and if theyre fliers then it gets easier, but if youre a madman like me and want the exp take freeze staffs on at least two units, gives plenty of breathing room and lets you abuse the dragon veins easily

Just play, thing is that you'll quickly see the bias and Noishe doesn't has pursuit so he can't even double enemies. Also weapon rank is entirely based off class holy blood so I think that at best he'll get B in lances and Swords. The best Noishe can do is breed out his skills, Charge and Critical Hit off. Yes you need a skill to perform Crits in this game.
