If you did (and assuming you aren't in NG and SL 140 or had three phantoms, etc) it was probably because you got very lucky with his ability usage. There are attempts when he WILL NOT allow you to get close. At that point, he's going to toast you or laser you or charge you when you wear down. Incorrect, you're just shit. The weapon is meant for manual aiming and it's delayd hit R1's are perfect. Combine it with offhand spear/straightsword and it's absolutely terrifying, as of the later patches with working poise.

After beating the demon princes on my third try with one character i am just totally unable to do it with my other character.
I like to keep track of how many times i die with a boss the first time i encounter them with a character and it is safe to say that with this character I have died to the demon princes more than i have died to literally every other boss across all 5 soulsborne games combined.
Easily over 100 attempts at this point.
Level 165, new game ++.
I know i can beat him on my own because ive come within one or two hits of beating him, but for fucks sake its getting disheartening and i really want this character to finish the dlc.

How the hell do I deal with exile greatsword users? I've invaded a few today and I'm using lighting blade darkdrift. Can't trade with them obviously, a single hit does a bit over 1/3 my hp.

it's a problem with bigger weapons in general for a dex/fai build for me. With lag I rarely get a staggering hit, even if I adjust for hit we always attack at the same time, so I always trade staggers with them, I hit for about 300, they chunk 1.3 my health. avelyn and lightning bow miracle only work a couple of times and don't do decent enough damage to eat through all their estus. The exile WA I cannot escape from spamming roll and it can stunlock me to death.

I'm using cheat engine to get past the equip load. I don't care about getting banned tbqh. Kinda don't really care about this game anymore.

However, at SL 85-90, you can ditch the shield, then get ring of favor +3 and havel's +3, invest like 20-25 something points into vitality and you can go almost full cosplay. At meta 120, you can probably use the shield, too. All of that shits mad gay though, so I just use Collector's Edition perks.

He bequeathed his youngest daughter onto them, and through her sleep and through the egg, the Ringed City was kept outside of our time and reality, thereby keeping it outside of the stupid cycles shit that DaS2 came up with.

By waking up the princess you basically snap the city back into the present, where Gael devours the feeble pygmy lords.
